There original name is Jameson Raid. They had two singles and a load of live stuff and some Demos.
1st 7" was called "Seven Days Of Splendour " on GBH Records '79
it was issued in 2 different sleeves. One black and a rarer white sleeve.
2nd 7" was called ''The Hypnotist" on Blackbird Music Records '80
both of their singles are pretty rare nowadays and contain some Heavy melodic nwobhm .Very killer singles.
In fact Witchfinder General used to go to alot of their Concerts in the late '70's and the guitarist for Jameson Raid used an old Gibson SG just like Mr. Cope of Witchfinder General.Jameson Raid is also from The West Midlands Uk home of the greatest bands ever.Black Sabbath,Witchfinder General.
Later the band changed their name to The Raid and released the song Hard Lines on the Metal for Muthas lp.And some other stuff but were not as good as when they were Jameson Raid.
I have a bootleg Lp of Demo and Live Material and I think it's all really good.I recommend tracking some down or you can come over my house with a 6-pack of Belgian Ale and I can play it for you. |

I really like "Seven days of Splendour" - just have the title track here on my PC. The Singles are fukkin' expensive (if you can see them at ebay.uk at all).
Here's a homepage where I have found these songs:
http://www.truemetal.org/battle/remasters1.html
All songs on that page are nothing but great ones... _________________
