Here we discuss Judas Priest. Only 70's Priest. And we worship. Everyone will worship the greatest metal albums of all time. Rocka Rolla, Sad Wings of Destiny, Sin After Sin, and Stained Class.

what about killing machine?

70's priest is most essential. It truly shines though in the live album unleashed in the east (live in japan). headbanged many a times to that album! Wink

But this is for 70's Priest only.... I've never heard Rocka Rolla.....

Sad Wings of Destiny for me is one of the best metal albums ever recorded. But I still love me some 80's priest, Defenders of the Faith, Brisitish Steel and Screaming For Vengence are awesome. Favorite Judas Priest Track might be Dreamer/Deciever or Tyrant.

I don't like Killing Machine. I prefer the studio versions too over Unleashed.

Rocka Rolla is essential. Run of the Mill and the Winter saga are amazing. Dying to Meet You is great Sabbath worship. The riff at 3:00 wouldn't be out of place in a Varathron or Necromantia song.

All early Priest is essential. Sad Wings is still my favorite...

Sad wings, Killing machine is the best 70' judas priest albums all time!
Painkiller is properly one of the most overrated albums in metal.

Songwriting-wise I think Sad Wings is their best, but I really really hate the production on that album. On the other hand they never really nailed the sound until Unleashed, which I almost always listen to when I feel like listening to Priest. It's simply everything they made in the 70s perfected.

Turbo should never be mentioned along side 70s Priest. What an abomination that piece of shit was.
