Certainly is heavy (but not metal). Definitely hear their influence in stuff like Mercyful Fate/ King Diamond and early Death SS though. Awesome album!

i dont consider a lot of these bands heavymetal either but they are pre-cursers to the heavy-metal form,which evolved to become metal especially thinlizzy whuch was nwobhm before there was such a thing as nwobhm
