Do they make anything these days that is a 'must try' beer? I don't even glance at their stuff these days since I have a much better selection to choose from now.

I like their annual RuinTen release and their Imperial Stout and Old Guardian Barley Wine is always good especially for the money since in SF the prices are generally around $9. I honestly find them comparable to stuff I've paid $20 a bottle for. The Double Arrogant Bastard is good too.

Isn't The Bruery in SD too? I like a lot of their stuff even if at times I think they throw in too many spices. That sour stout they made Tarts of Darkness was phenomenal.

The Bruery is actually in Fullerton, which is in Orange County-about an hour and some north of SD. Been meaning to go there myself.

Lion Stout, the Indian beer. Their lager is better though.

Had a dram of Springbank 10yr yesterday. I let it sit for a while and added water. Great beverage!

Right now I'm getting drunk on Kasteelbier Tripel while listening to Vektor.

Been on a trip down to San Diego and hit a few brewerys: Ballast Point, Alesmith, and Stone. Would have loved to go to more but I only got one day for me to a few days for the kids.

Picked up a few good brews.
Alesmith I picked up Bourbon Barrell Aged Wee Heavy and the Pinot Noir Barrel Aged Grand Cru.

On tap I had the Speedway Stout, Cream Ale, and Bourbon Barrell Aged Old Numbskull.

Stone:
Bought the Bastard in the Rye, Arrogant Bastard Aged in Templeton Rye Whiskey Barrels and a few 2014 RuinTens.

On tap I had the Ruination and Wootstout 2.0. Which was fucking crazy good at 13%, and after the tour got a tasting of the IPA, Sprocket, Smoked Porter sith chilis, and Arroganrt Bastard.

Also picked up these patches:

so this beer isn't even released yet but can I just say how much I love the art and design of this brewery? The brews themselves are also top notch. Them and half acre need to do a collaboration

⇪⇪⇪Label looks great.

Bought the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Collaboration 12 pack.

Starting with the Victory Alt Route and working my way randomly through. Let's see how this goes.

Bourbon Barrel Aged Old Rasputin on tap, was the 2012 version also. Very, very smooth.

Followed it up with a pint of Zombie Dust. Not a bad way to end the work day.

Quite jealous about the barrel aged Old Rasputin, that stuff is a favorite. For the hell of it I bought a case of Pumking this week. Drank one and will wait until it's actually fall to break into the rest.

Bought a 4 pack of Hill 88 DIPA from Headlands Brewery and I've gotta say at first I was quite surprised because the first 2 cans tasted and looked like a geuze. I didn't expect this beer to be a sour. But the third can tasted and looked completely different. It was definitely what the beer was supposed to taste like, a bitter DIPA. Problem was it was full of yeast sediment and very cloudy unlike the first two cans. The fourth can was a cross between the the geuze of the first two and the DIPA of the third. Complete with yeast and very cloudy. What I've figured is I got a corrupted batch and that the first to cans which tasted awesome were a mistake. The third and fourth were on there way to becoming Sour DIPA's.
