I´m sitting here enjoying the hell out of the Graham Bonnet Band´s album "The Book", straightforward hard rock with the gritty vocals the man is known for from his days with MSG, Rainbow, Alcatrazz, Impellittiri etc. He´s back. He´s 69 and never sounded better.

I think I´ve checked all of his albums and will continue to. The record he made with Taz Taylor was fucking awesome, "Welcome to America".

Hail the true old school still putting out great music! Yours?

BB King until he died at almost 90 (practically on stage).

Honeyboy Edwards, almost 100 - touring the UK in 2009:

Judas Priest are about 70, mind - keep flirting with Tipton every chance I get. Halford is better than ever.

While neither Alice Cooper, David Gilmour, Priest or Maiden have made convincing albums in this decade - I still pay attention and hope for at least one more great album from them.

You do realize it's a money making machine there. I have long stopped hoping either Priest or Halford would do something meaningful. Great concerts, though.

How long exactly? - Because Angel of Retribution is about as good as Ram it Down in my book ("Blood Red Skies" tips the scale obviously)

Actually, Prophecy has been a favourite of mine on the Epitaph tour as much as Blood Red Skies; I guess it's seemed pretty long since 2008 to expect a good album, with the disappointment of Redeemer. Let's hope the new one is a nice surprise.
I've also been hoping for another solo album from Halford, so the disappointment there adds to it. And he's been talking of a collaboration with Ihsahn, but it's remained only talk.

P.S. I attended pretty much their whole last UK tour, and Tipton didn't seem too invested, apart from the last show in Brixton Academy. (Unlike him, Halford was 100% everywhere, 200% at Brixton.)

Nik Turner, the guy is 77 and still puts out solid space rock, extremely humble and down to earth and still a wild bastard too. I doubt I'll make it to 77 but if I do hopefully I'll still have the same drive and spirit at that age.

Fulberto Serena. Guy is 67 and just put out a great album last year with Etrusgrave, as were the two before that. He was the original songwriter for the first two Dark Quarterer albums, which eternally makes him THE MAN.

Not a huge Floyd fan if I'm being honest, a lot of it has to do with a wonderfully belligerent Scotsman called Stuart but that's another story.

The Waters album took me by surprise, liked it straight away.
