One of the most under rated deathrash bands ever!! Euronymous was a big supporter of this band in the late 80's. The vocals are pure evil thrashing death like Brazilian style. Check out the demos LP that just came out on Apocalyptic Empire from Norway. I will have some copies of this very soon.
Also highly recommended is their split LP with Loudblast and their debut LP "Never Ending Destiny."

That's true, AGRESSOR is a French legendary deathrashing band !
"Neverending destiny" and the "Licensed to thrash" split lp are classics, their "Towards beyond" second album is great too...
"Medieval rites" is different and more varied, some black metal influences can be found here and there, it sounds more melodic too.
They've just released their latest album called "Deathreat" and it's more a "back to the roots" album, a punishing and powerful gem ! Alex can definitely play death metal with some good old lead parts, arrggh !
Yosuke, I've checked AE website but nothing in sight about the AGRESSOR's demos LP you mentioned. Can you tell me if that is the rerelease of "Satan"s sodomy" mcd on black wax ?! |

No Satan's Sodomy MCD was actually the split with Loudblast on CD without the Loudblast parts.
I actually just got the Agressor LPs in the mail so I'll add them to the distro tonight.
Who released their second album? I never heard that one or the newest CD.

Ok, now I know what this LP is, the French label Dead sun records had already released "The merciless onslaught" cd version... |

Picked up the demo's lp from the distro a couple weeks ago, and it's been slaying my ass ever since!! Up there with "Bleeding The Priest" and "Canadian Speed Metal"... except for the crap digital artwork!

I saw those in a local second hand cds shop a few weeks ago, too bad you didn't mention that before! I'll check again next time I go.
The latest album is really good indeed.
Definitely one of the best french bands ever. |
