Same for me - I bought it 8 years ago at a metal fair in Cologne for €5 -
nobody seemed to recognize that this is a great album....but that happened for many of the nowadays "Mega-Price-Sellers" in the mid 90 to end 90s, too... Smile

Anything featuring Alex Hernandez can't be half bad!

I don't believe so but I could be wrong. I've heard the reason he left Immolation was because of back problems. Don't know if there's any truth behind that.

Got their demo when that started circulating, for a demo it was ok. Recording wasn't so hot, but figured when they dropped a cd it'd get a little better.

My pal bought their CD and it sounded sloppy, disjointed and only marginally better.

They needed a better drummer to flesh out their ideas me thinks.

Here's an album from around the same time that did it right:

I really don't see that much similarity between Molested and Fallen Christ, also to incinuate Alex Hernandez isn't good enough is pretty retarded.

Alex Hernandez did a fine job in Immolation, not that great here in Fallen Christ. If they had him on Harnessing Ruin, that album would certainly have been less of a turd i'm sure.

They don't sound totally similar, the Molested album is better produced and the ideas are better executed among other differences.

Aplles and oranges if at all - Fallen Christ sounded like a Morbid Angel-stepchild very high on amphetamine.
Molested are cool in their own right but it is a really different riffing there just to mention one detail.
Not that it matters, of course.

Anyway, in an old Immolation interview I read that the band basically "taught" Hernandez to play in a style similar to Smilowski and less straight compared to FC.
