Wow this one is awesome, is this amp mainly for studio use and rehearsal or you use it at gigs sometimes?

Yeah, from my guitars, the Voodoo is probably the one which sounds best together with the JCM800 even if the Flying V has the same pickups (as far as I know). Love it, though the skull on the fretboard I could seriously do without. Live I prefer the Flying V for its balance and that it generally is an extremely comfortable guitar to use when standing + (it keeps tune a little better than the SG), but in the studio I'll mostly stick to the Voodoo.

I read on the net that the Marshall pedals are notoriously unreliable. Luckily I discovered this after I had bought it...

Perhaps all you really need then is to heat your signal up some more before it gets to your amp for that touch more gain to achieve the tone you're after. I have a JCM800 1987 super lead head that I needed to do a similar thing to, I found that a Mesa Boogie VTwin preamp/pedal did the trick for me for more doom-esque music. Was a very "open" sound but has a ton of weight to it, if that makes sense. Although in Diocletian I use an old green Sovtek Big Muff for crushing gain with lightning fast attack...perhaps not the tone you'd be keen on for your sound though mate haha!!

Well, I have plenty of volume boost to go on with the OCD, which is an excellent signal booster in its own right. However, I cannot take any more volume in without reducing the master volume, cause that thing is fucking loud, and I am at that point in the master where its all or nothing. If I turn it down a milimeter, the sound dies, if I turn it up and boost the signal, my ears start to bleed. I think that I should probably have to put in some hotter tubes, and get a proper service done on it.

Oh yeah, will this thread is active;
I have to replace that bloody Marshall pedal, and I'm looking at two reverbs at the moment; EHX Cathedral and Dr. Scientist Reverberator. Anyone here have anything useful to say about these two, any experiences or recommendations?

I had the RRR and I'd recommend it. Lots of useful reverbs, for sure!

Yeah, I see only good things about it, but it's extremely hard to find. Out of stock everywhere I've looked.

I found one for $300 and one for $270 just now on TheGearPage.net. I'm a member, though, and that's the only way to see for sale ads.

Used this rig (borrowed) to record a demo.

This is my current rig, using a Way Huge Swollen Pickle Mk II though.
