P90's have a rawness that humbuckers can never quite match. And they aren't wimpy like strat single coils.

I actually replaced the bridge humbucker on my LP Custom for a Bareknuckle P90.

Can anyone recommend any other decent-sounding combos as small as the Marshall above for home use? That amp looks, and probably sounds, good, but the price is close to Ä1000 in Europe. 500 is really the most I can pay at this point.

I also just joined a really spacey krautrock style band a la Agitation Free/Amon Duul II so you would fit in well with those TWO REVERB PEDALS Shocked

Oh we should get back on the effects talk too. Right now Iím using a Wren and Cuff Tall Font Russian muff clone, and a Pharaoh for dirt, a Boss CS-2 compressor and two ring modulators as well as a flashback x4 delay looper for one rig and the other band itís two DOD Death Metal pedals, an HM-2, a ring mod, a home made gristleizer clone and then ANOTHER ring mod. Itís hella sick.

Iíve got a third DOD Death Metal our for repair and the guy is building me a feedback looper as well.

Iíd like to buy a reverb but everything does that dumb shimmer shit and I fucking hate it. Like this sound is going to be so played in a year.

Love the sound of that SG!

No, I'm not using both reverb pedals. Just trying to decide which one I want to use.

I sold a Cathedral a few years ago and I really regret it. I love that reverse motherfucker on there.

Recently got a deal on this Marshall Mini Silver Jubilee combo. 20 watts switchable to 5w. I think it's pretty much perfect for almost all applications, especially recording. As far as live playing goes, unless you're mic'ing the drums (in which case you'd almost surely mic the amps anyways), there is no reason except for aesthetics to use a 100w head with cabinet.

Has anyone had any experience using a EHX small clone with heavy distortion? Did it sound alright?

I want to choose one effect and tried a few but not chorus yet.
