Been listening lately some metallic/crust (is it right description of that genre?) You know, bands like Martyrdöd and latest Wolfbrigade.

In Martyrdöd I like their sence of melodies which reminds me of Sigrblot and latest Wolfbrigade also has this dark vibe that sometims reminds me of late Marduk. Bands like Skitsystem gets close but lacks that "nordic-folkish-melancholish-meltalish melodies", Kontrovers and Passiv Dödhjälp has some really nice parts and maybe even Tragedy.

Recommend some more plz

Martyrdöd

Well, since you already know of Passiv Dödshjälp, how about their Aktiv cousin?

Earlier on today I was spinning The Makai The whole lp is basically one long song with parts of differing speeds and tempos. Epic, melancholic and melodic are the buzzwords here.

How about the long-running finns of Unkind, are you familiar with them? They've been my long-running faves together with Martyrdöd in this style. Check out Hangen Syliin or Harhakuvat-album, give Yhteiskunnan Pikkuvikoja a miss. That's a bit of a misstep for the band. Here's Kaivannot from Harhakuvat-album:

Don't know if they are very similar but these are two of my favourite crust bands:

I recently got copies in stock of the LP of a band called Tjänstevapen that claims to be influenced by Martyrdöd. I haven't checked them out yet to be honest.

I'd recommend a local band called Down To Agony, not active anymore but still pretty good, with a melancholic / apocalyptic edge: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jc64Bd8vn6M

Uhm, Disfear and Skitsystem are worth mentioning I guess. Both feature(d) Tomas Lindberg of At The Gates. Uffe Cederlund from Entombed is in Disfear too.

There's a band from my town called Killbite, they aren't that bad too.

I'd recommend the self-titled album by FUTURE RUINS seeing how you described what you like about bands like Wolfbrigade and Martyrdöd. They offer a great range from in-your-face Crust to a midtempo wrecking ball like "In the Shadows of A Tyrant", and the melodic guitar work is haunting. Brilliant album, too bad the band split up.

Thanks dudes, found almost everything you mentioned from spotify, so thank satan also!

MAKAI was first i tried and soon as that guitarmelody at 0:20 started, knew that this was just what i was loking for. Nice Martyrdöd melodies

UNKIND was unkown but name sounded familiar somehow. Nice sounding, more in Tragedy and Wolfbrigade vein. Added on my playlist for deeper checking

EKKAIA wasnt on spotify but youtube listening didnt convince me

ALPINIST was fukking great! No way on earth I would listen band with thatkind name without recomments. Glad I did, most likely its best finds with Makai

AGRIMONIA sounded more metal. At first though i have wrong band, but soon Martyrdödish parts started to rise. Sounds very gothenburgish, some atg kind approach especially onsongtructures and how vocals are fitted. This might be hit or miss

Keep em coming. Those weights at gym aint gonna lift themselves. Need some aggressive but still epic soundtrack to get in right mood

Listened em last week. Thanjs for reminding about them. Didnt they have chick on bass (might be the reason why i gave them change)? After Future Ruins they gathered BASTARD GRAVE that is pure old school död metall.

Cool thread, and some great recommendations!

Here are a couple more to add:

Acursed (Swe):

Tortyr (Swe):

Knivad (Swe):

偏執症者 (Paranoid) (Swe) (a bit more varied style-wise, and they also have some badass covers):

And probably my fave from Sweden – Oral, an older now defunct band, which featured Alf Svensson from ATG on guitar:
