the new darkthrone (FOAD)

I've been giving this a good amount of listens since it came out. I can see how people may not be very into the stuff released after Panzerfaust and before The Cult is Alive, but I think a lot of you would dig this new album and possibly TCIA. Very nice old school metal in the vein of early Venom, the first two Bulldozer albums and Hellhammer/early Celtic Frost.

I bought the disc on Friday, and it's been kicking my ass since. I've played it about a dozen times already, which is rare for new albums. Very well done, and pretty diverse as far as styles go, but the band handles it very well.

weakest DT ever imo.
To me it just reeks of laziness and lack of direction. Sounds like they slapped the album together in a couple of days. For the record, I enjoyed the two before this, so it's not the punk thing that has turned me off.

Bloody useles Neo-Punk-Rock-Clowns. Period. If the new songs ain't crap already, they make it even worse by featuring absolutely ultra-silly pictures of themselves on every fucking page of the CD booklet. And to top it of, they even give some oh-so-cool- recommentdations which cult albums to check out! PATHETIC Vermin!!

I really can understand their way and attitude, but the music is absolutely boring, nothing else. Simple as that...

"Ravishing Grimness" was damn good album (especially 1st track)!!!! Darkthrone can do whatever they want. Still, Fenriz would be damn interesting person to talk with behind a bottle of beer or two.
