I will still be a couple more weeks here, so if someone knows of a decent record shop in here (VA Ashburn area or Washington DC) please tell me about some... _________________ Unbound celestial assassins... |

There's a new metal store in northern VA owned by Mike from Maniacal Records. Record and Tape Exchange in Fairfax VA is also decent. There is almost nothing in DC as far as I rememver. Maybe Smash in Georgetown DC if you're into punk and hardcore. I found some random death metal tapes there years ago. _________________ Contact: nwnprod@gmail.com

Where is this in Arlington? It must be new because I don't remember it being there when I was still in Falls Church. |
it opened last year i believe, its right off of Columbia Pike on the left hand side about 2ish miles past the safeway. i think its a giant behind it. Its on top of a white building and really hard to see if you don't know what your looking for |

Yosuke is right. there's barely anything in DC at all. there's Reptilian, but that's in Baltimore. i never went to that Tape Exchange, but i heard it was decent. also, Smash may have moved. i don't think it's in G-town anymore but i stand to be corrected.
you may also wanna check out Yesterday and Today in Rockville. they might have some cool stuff.
in the three years i lived in DC, i rarely found anything worthy of praise in terms of stores. |

Smash is pretty good, nothing outstanding but worth the trip. |

just had an email from Mike today from Vienna Music exchange. I've been in this shop before he opened it and it looks like it must be a cool place by now. The shop is open Thursday- saturday 12 -5 PM or by appointment, check more info here:

Just went with Mike at Vienna Music Exchange, nice guy and he gots some interesting stuff there, so I picked up a bunch of vinyls and a couple of CDs. It is quite tough to get there if you don't know the area or you do not have a GPS. It is a small place, but for the metal collector hunter, it is the kind of places we like to go. There he was talking with some other guy and they were talking about another record store that has just closed after some few time. Damn, it seems it is a tough time for these places. Hopefully the metal breed will make them survive. If you go through the are, go visit him and say hi. _________________ Unbound celestial assassins... |

Ni, I didn't take any picture, good idea, but I was in a hurry and arrived there just before he closed. Anytime you can, try to get there. Also the releases on his label are very good! _________________ Unbound celestial assassins... |
