Can you recommned me metal (not neofolk) groups dealing with Alpine or old southern Germany folklore? I am not interested in medieval history or German pagans. I am intereted in old folk tales, supernatural beings specific to those Alpine and Bavarian Forest areas...

Lunar Aurora
Alruna, Brĺnd (Kringa related side projects)
Empyrium maybe

Horn - Alpenland

Solid discography although the man behind it is from NRW.

no music recommendation per se but I think you should watch Werner Herzog's Herz aus Glas (Heart of Glass) for the feel you are describing, great traditional bavarian music throughout plus Achternbuschs' magnificent dialogues inspired by 1750-born prophet Mühlhiasl - no pagan shit

Thanks. I know this movie very well. Fantastic. Big Herzog fan btw.

That early Horn releases are really good. They have very unique charm and Alpenland song is fantastic.

That 3-way split thematically yes, musically only Rauhnĺcht is interesting for me.

Tarihan might fit this description on some of his tracks.

Ungfell of course, both albums are great: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzB-Mol6I1g

Maybe Dauthuz, same vibe but dealing about mining themes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ym5H0LyajYE

Loved the "Hagazussa" movie that came out earlier this year, somewhat boring but good atmosphere.

Drudensang may be something you're looking for.
Bavarian Black Metal dealing with folkloristic mysticisms like Perchtenkult.

I'm really surprised nobody mentioned "Sturmpercht". The band which comes immediately to my mind when somebody mentions alpine folklore.

Perhaps nobody mentioned Sturmpercht because they aren't metal? Rauchnacht (feat. Sturmpercht members) is what I'd recommend.
