No, but it should!
I once asked from the band about it; I think the only thing missing from the equation is a label willing to do it.
Having heard only the demo + the debut, I'm also interested in hearing what, if anything, is worth checking from the later releases.

I remember back in the Myspace days the band was planning on some sort of vinyl box set of all their albums but I don't think it ever got off the ground.

Cool record. On its quieter passages, they reminded me an awful lot of a darkwave band called And Also the Trees.

Mostly playing this if I play Solefald. But I have everything up to Black For Death. Might have to think about going through these things again. And checking out that latest album. Not too excited to get started for some reason.

I concur. I have pretty much all of it too, perhaps one of those things that hasn't aged well?
It was all sounding cool and interesting when I was seeking out all this avant-garde stuff like Arcturus and Solefald, now though some of it sounds too cheap and silly.

Great record but the vocals grind on me occasionally.

Same here. I've never had a listen to the demo prior to this though.

I've really been enjoying Norrøn livskunst lately, it has some great songs like Song til stormen, Tittentattenteksti and Raudedauden.
Solefald is about to release a new album.
While not being impressed by the teaser,
http://www.metal-hammer.de/news/meldungen/article673955/hoert-hier-zuerst-den-neuen-song-bububu-bad-beuys-von-solefald.html
I'm sure that it will not be just another mediocre affair.
I can see some of you choking when reading this:

Quote:
Unique avant-garde duo Solefald will release their new full-length album after a four year wait; “World Metal. Kosmopolis Sud” will be out on Feb 02, 2015! With this release, Solefald challenges the listener with their complex musical diversity, taking the listener on a surreal adventure to truly unique musical settings and sound constellations yet to be discovered. Merging raw Norwegian Metal, Dutch Techno with Norse and African folk and rhythms, Solefald has beyond doubt crafted an out of the ordinary sound; World music with black edges. A celebration of World Culture!

Peaceville (owner of the rights) is not licensing for vinyl anymore, so it's up to them to do it. Seeing at how much effort they're putting into reissuing everything, it's likely just a matter of time.

Neonism was their early peak, they never came close to its perfection afterwards, although as a fanboy I enjoy even some of their mediocre recent material. Too bad that not many metal bands are as highly adventurous as they were back then, every song was a journey through several genres and it worked brilliantly. I'm looking forward to Word Metal, should be more adventurous again, although that streamed track kind of disappointed me, I expected it to be far more eccentric.

I listened to Neonism nonstop after it came out, a very unique and killer album. I can't say I really got into much of what Solefald did after the first 2 records however. Would buy vinyl of those first 2 without hesitation.

Yep, their lyrics were fantastic, even if written from a slightly gay leftist perspective. Those satirical popculture references sound fresh in a ("black") metal context even today.

This sums up nicely my feelings of the whole album after the first round. It's interesting and I'll surely get back at it many times, but I'm not sure is it 'out there' enough. No chance yet to read the lyrics though.
