The new Wolf Eyes album kind of surprised me. It's still pitchfork-noise, but it isn't half-bad on this go around.
Cool

I am really excited about the new Wolf Eyes. The stuff I streamed sounded really excellent..... although Always Wrong was great too, I've always enjoyed what they do....

What is Pitchfork-noise?

A term I just made up to describe the kind of noise/experimental bands Pitchfork seems to only care about.

Haha I was listening to the samples and my wife was like "what is this" and I said "oh, it's their first record in 4 years" and she goes "that's the best they could come up with?!?!?"

I'm not entirely sure if this is 'power electronics' but its at least closely related. Not usually a huge fan of this stuff but I'm really into this one track in particular that my buddy made.

Herukrat - 'Throat'

You could check out the rest of the stuff here: http://www.svn-okklt.com/search/label/Herukrat

Just digital... for now

samples not bad...

Has anyone recommended Nyodene D yet? If not, check them out. I have their 7" devoted to Bobby Sands ("Caged Dog/Common Criminal") and it kills.

Another current outfit that's getting well-deserved attention is Iron Fist Of The Sun. Plenty of Euro distros keep this project in stock and Malignant reliably makes his/their stuff available stateside.

David Rodgers always puts out solid material as Brethren/Organized Resistance/Revolutionary Command. Harsh industrial/PE drawing ideological inspiration from the Pierce days of the National Alliance.

As far as the classics go, anything from Operation Cleansweep is worth a listen. My personal favorite is the "JerUSAlem" 12".

Say Nyodene D last week actually... good shit. Edenfall was one of the better Industrial/Death Industrial releases of last year IMO

Yes, Nyodene D is great. That Pogrom tape is very good as well. Then a couple of months ago I finally got Every Knee Shall Bow which I loved as well, so right after I had to get Edenfall. Again, a good album.

YES! I've been so stoked on the Herukrat material ever since I saw it pop up on svn-okklt.

For any one in or around Ohio, on June 1st in Columbus Dreadful Sounds is presenting Dungeon Fest, an all day event of noise/power electronics/ambient from all over the state. Should be a terrible time.

Pardon the giant flyer.
