The recent split 7" between Pusdrainer & Custodian is really good. Custodian's side sounds like his gear is malfunctioning, cutting on & off with heavy blasts of low-end. Pusdrainer does a nice track with flanged vocals & nasty feedback-noise.
A bunch of good stuff will be out from Freak Animal probably next month including the long-awaited split LP between Mania & Coma Detox (his first vinyl appearance & his best work so far). |

It took me a while to really get into pe, and be able to tell the good from the band stuff, or rather, what I like and don't like in the genre.
Anyway, in my opinion the essentials are as follows:
Genocide Organ - Leichenlinie
Atrax Morgue - Death-Orgasm Connector
Sutcliffe Jügend - When Pornography is no Longer Enough
Grunt - Seer of Decay (Disc 1)
Bizarre Uproar - Purification
Whitehouse - Birdseed
The Sodality - Beyond Unknown Pleasures
Gaze Campaign - Gestalt Bruise
More recent stuff that I'd highly recommend:

Steel Hook Prosthesis is indeed great stuff, as is Anenzephalia and Control. Control - Deadly Sins is particuarly great, perfect mixture of drone and pe for me, immense sounds. I'll also add Wertham and Caligula031 as stuff to check out (both the same dude, C031 being my favourite PE release this year so far) as well as Iron Fist of the Sun. I'm also after that Gestalt Bruise tape, hoping one day I'll be lucky enough to get it on discogs or something. |

What items will FA get aside from Hengellisiä Lauluja pt. 2? Im planning to make a big order from them along with the fa/f&v new lp's so would be nice to know!

Havent listened to new BU yet but Brethren's and Grunts new releases crush. Brethren's new cd might be among this years top3 most played release for me and its been out for just few weeks, heh.
Also, Mania or Coma Detox havent done a single bad release yet in my opinion. Seems to be such an amazing ending for this year... PE-wise...
