Only one thing that should be with die-hard editions:
1 die-hard per order ( to avoid selling 3-4 copies to one person who is selling these later with cosmic prices). |

Some people from Europe like to combine orders with friends to save on postage. I can't really ask people to order one copy when postage is already fucking expensive. _________________ The only email I have access to is nwnprod (at) gmail (dot) com. I do not have access to my old Yahoo addresses.

If anyone wanna really make Editions only for fans of this
Music, then write Name and Adress in every LP Set, but
that also failed often.
I have seen Paria First Editions in Trade lists, Loits Boxes and
all other "rare" and "exclusive" stuff for "friends"
I never saw, till now, some Ambient Military Music Items like
Triarii 7" or such, which was with Coupon (With a CD Box you
get a Coupon, this you send to the Label and then you get
a 7", specialy printed in amoung of resendet Coupon, nice
idea ^^).
Maybe a possible way, but its not for lazy people |

I don't have time to worry about this so much. There will always be people who miss out on releases. _________________ The only email I have access to is nwnprod (at) gmail (dot) com. I do not have access to my old Yahoo addresses.

if you want mass produced go buy a cd. plenty quantity over quality on the cd market...
special vinyls are there for select fans which appreciate the added efforts.
if you miss out, bu-hu!... try to find it elsewhere. i tracked that proclamation split down to a finnish distro after NWN sold out. |

every LP / CD etc. that sells for 50 or more $$$ on ebay or other places should be re-released/re-pressed...
I don't see what's so cool or cult about not re-pressing albums if there is demand??? NoEvDia/EAL are doing the right thing with their latest releases, for example _________________ 14 WORDS: "We Must Secure Total Annihilation Of Humanity And End All Life On This Planet" |

I agree. Repress keeps the costs down and keeps the music available. _________________ The only email I have access to is nwnprod (at) gmail (dot) com. I do not have access to my old Yahoo addresses.

the ONLY thing i like about downloading music (or having friends d/l music for me as i don't know how to do that shit) aside from it being cheap is that the music has to stand on it's own two feet with no cool packaging, no rarity factor to make up for any shortcomings that it may have. all you have is a crappy cd-r and the music. it's kinda like a blind taste test. this has saved from blowing countless $ on average/shitty music that's packaging and/or rarity would have otherwise swayed me. |

I agree. Downloading music allows people to sample before buying. People will still buy records if they like the music enough. I don't know why some labels are totally against downloading. _________________ The only email I have access to is nwnprod (at) gmail (dot) com. I do not have access to my old Yahoo addresses.

And, very important, no need for damn cheap Bootlegs.
I think, Die Hard editions are for the Collectors and normal
editions fpr Music lovers. I like both and buy depending to
the Band. Some Bands i wanna have all Stuff including limited
as well (like Ildjarn , can't wait for the 2 LP's), other Bands
i need only normal edition or.....CD... |

I can't believe this damn topic keeps coming up! Keep bitching about diehards; and then one day the people who spend serious time, effort, and money to make killer releases will stop. And then we can all go down to the mall and buy the new Soulfly cd or whatever. Fuckin brilliant.
I used to think downloading was lame, 'cause it cheapened the listening experience or whatever. But now I like it; you don't have to spend hours copying out each record if you want to listen at work. And I've bought a lot of albums only because I heard some mp3s first, so I don't believe it kills sales at all. _________________ "Great holes secretley are digged where earth's pores ought to suffice, and things have learnt to walk that ought to crawl..." |

to me a much bigger problem is the absolute onslaught of releases that come each month. There's too many bands and too many labels willing to release absolute shit.
Even though I love the format, I'd love to see the number of 7"s released greatly reduced. Bands should just wait until they have a full album worth of material before releasing anything. |
