Been spinning again and again the less ''praised'' Priest albums.
Point of Entry,Turbo and Ram It Down.
Rest 80s and 70s albums are masterpieces,no further comments about them needed.

Many classics here....Where to start?

1st side Point of Entry--> classic and JP mania......''Heading out to the Highway'',''Desert Plains'',''Turning Circles'' etc .
I'm a JP maniac.On repeat!!!

Turbo --> so underrated album...OK ,s/t sound a bit disco oriented ...Rhythym is irresistible and feeling is so 80s....
''Locked In '',''Wild Nights, Hot & Crazy Day'', ''Hot for Love
''Reckless'' JP classics in my opinion.Sharp riffs (trademark of Priest) and the classic solos of the mightiest guitar duo ever.

Ram it Down -->come on...If you're a Priest maniac ,this is pure heavy metal worship!
''Hard as Iron'' ,''Heavy Metal '' the epic ''Blood Red Skies'' all essential!
Their most underrated album...

I might be heretic ,but ''Ram it Down'' is better and more ''metallic'' than ''Sin After Sin'' for example.

80s JP albums are from great to flawless.

And covers are perfect and unforgettable.

Long Live the Priest till death!!!

Not going to comment on it all, but yes, "Reckless", that is one hell of an underrated song (Priest should have said 'yes' to have it on the Top Gun soundtrack!). Surely the Turbo record is obviously commercial, but it contains some really memorable tunes (Out in the Cold!).

"Hard As Iron" and "Blood Red Skies" from Ram It Down are essential Priest and gets the blood pumping, terrific!

Never been that much into Point Of Entry really. It's an okay record, but falls a bit short within the 1974-88 streak (not saying Rocka Rolla is all that either for that matter).

What is your top Priest-song?

Heading out to the highway kicks ass, but point of entry is awful. i've literally burned that album for comedic value

Can't pick one...
Possibly ''Electric Eye'',''Riding on the Wind'' ,or ''The Sentinel'' , Jawbreaker, Eat me Alive,Freewheel burning,Delivering the Goods....

I have to mention all albums and then songs separately.

Yours?

Turbo was my introduction to the band and it was good enough to get me hooked.

Yeah, difficult as hell. I'd be almost tempted to say "The Hellion", hehe, best intro there ever was to an album. It just sets the mood for a whole evening of brilliant heavy rock.

But yes, "Jawbreaker" is for me definitely one of the all time Priest highs. With Defenders.... being my favorite album by Judas Priest I need to mention "Rock Hard Ride Free", "Some Heads Are Gonna Roll" (those opening 10 seconds!), "The Sentinel" as well, and let's not forget about "The Ripper" from Sad Wings...!

''"The Hellion", hehe, best intro there ever was to an album''
Agreed!

''"Some Heads Are Gonna Roll" (those opening 10 seconds!)''

You rule!

DOTF ...should be played only at maximum volume!

Best heavy metal album of all times?
Along with ''Screaming ...''?

''let's not forget about "The Ripper" from Sad Wings...!''

Cool thread. I'm a DIE HARD fan of Point of Entry, "Desert Plains", "Solar Angels", "Heading...", "Don't Go" are all awesome headbanging tunes. The only song that sucks is "You say Yes".
Turbo kills as well. "Out in the Cold" and "Private Property"..., and remember that KILLER gig recorded as Priest... Live!
Ram it Down..., three words: BLOOD RED SKIES.
As for my fave JP song... used to be "The Sentinel", used to be "Victim of Changes", but nowadays I'm tempted to say "The Rage" by a huge margin.

"Best heavy metal album of all times?"

For me that is Dont' Break The Oath by Mercyful Fate.

Anyway, Greece and Norway has similar tastes in Priest!

"The Rage", seriously? First time I've ever heard someone having that one as favorite.

I love "The Rage," it's my favorite Halford performance. I also love "Rapid Fire," and "Metal Gods," and "Grinder." I'm one of those Priest fans that thinks British Steel is a perfect album despite its "commercial" leanings. I've slowly been gaining an appreciation for Point of Entry and Turbo; PoE is the better of the two for me-"Desert Plains," and "Solar Angels" are awesome songs.

So many killer songs, but after all these years, I think it's Dissident Aggressor for me. It's even more impressive to think it came out almost 40 years ago!

'Eat me alive' or 'Sinner'.

I really like 'Turbo' ('Reckless', the title track and 'Out in the cold' in particular), but apart from the title track, 'Blood Red Skies' and 'Hard As Iron', I never really liked 'Ram it down.' I enjoyed 'Point of entry' more, mostly the 'A'-side.

Blood Red Skies is one of my favorite Priest tracks, as simple as that.
