early St.Vitus stuff of course
And Mortification's - Post Momentary Affliction. Very good Death Metal. Overseer being my favourite on this LP/CD. All the stuff later is a horrible mess... |

Cross is absolutely superb if you like traditional 80 US Heavy/Power Metal.
It depends on how far your definition of "Christian Metal" extends, but there tend to be a lot of good bands with openly Christian members in the traditional Doom Metal community. |

Both Incubus albums totally shred. Mortification is also excellent. Paul Chain (yes he's christian) released some pretty obscure stuff. Also check some Mario Di Donato/The Black releases. |

I admit I have never had the chance to check that Horde 'Hellig usvart' cd. How is it, strictly musically speaking? |

I think this was the Mortification guy behind it too. Never heard it, though. |

INVERT THE INVERTED CROSS, hahah. I hated that release (and Nuclear Blast even more) already shortly after its release, ...
MORTIFICATION'S debut album was cool death metal (didn't listen to is since 1994, though) and they have a cool thrash metal song on one of the Nuclear Blast samplers they did spread on their festivals in 1995. Mortification was live on stage also cool - that fukkin' singer looked quite amused when I requested an autograph (I was 16 (1994) and did wear a DEICIDE shirt, haha). Afterwards I found out that they are christian band... _________________
