Listen to albums like "in the nightside eclipse" "de mysteriis..."..."blessed are the sick"
those kids were possessed.

There is no such possession even lingering these days i am afraid.
that dark force or energy has long since left.

Well I agree, but you should mention Under a funeral moon, those riffs are possessed as a horny nun.
However, there's a couple band nowadays that really sound made by demons.

Yeah like TEITANBLOOD doesnt sound possessed at all... Rolling Eyes

And I for one feel that ITNE has a more "magical" vibe than a truly possessed one.
And We Are a Blaze in the Northern Sky is the most evil-sounding DT album.

Also Irkallian Oracle DO sound possessed as fuck

There's still stuff being created all the time with that same vibe.. totally different implementation though.. They didn't have the same recording technology back then that most of the bands are using today. Apparently it worked better. Antediluvian and Kerasphorus both come to mind - just need to listen to it a bit differently.......

There's also the fact that any time a band recreates that old sound, they are ridiculed for being rip-offs of the __insert scandinavian country__ scene. Barely given the time of day, nor should they be. Also agree about the "magical" comment^^

Disagree. Plenty of good - uh, I mean, possessed - stuff coming out these days.

I also disagree on "blessed are the sick" being a "possessed" album. Come on, it's so mathematically precise to take away every signle drop of instinctive and deranged possession there might be. A great album, but not in the same league as the "possessed" ones.

"Abominations Of Desolation" is THE Possessed One.

It can be rediscovered by those willing to go along the same path.

Unfortunately, most are brainwashed away into thinking they are the path.
