Preludium (Poland) – Impending Hostility CD (War Black/Death Metal, released on Diabolical Conquest, now known as Transcending Obscurity)

Polish martial attack is imposed upon our territory. Invading forces lead with impregnable tanks fuelled with a determination of complete domination. With an air of insolence, they march on with the specially modified 7-string engines of distortion revving, warcannons blasting and snare-machineguns rattling until no man is left standing. Fearful onslaught is carried out under the exhortations of an all-powerful commander, his words of spite leaving a dreadful ring in the ears of his victims. The final imprint will be of utter devastation, of bones and dust mingling with one another.

The CD is available through us for only $10 including registered airmail shipping anywhere in the world!

Sure, I could use a few copies of Brutally Deceased and Morbider. I'll email/PM you both with details. Cheers!

Fyi, all trades take place through our US office. That way it is safe, convenient and efficient.

Thanks for the Preludium CDs too, Kunal. It came super-fast. Will be listening to the stuff during the weekend. Pleasure to deal with you, man.

I think Czech post had won over Spanish post, hehe. But it's coming, Dave, I am pretty sure.

Some reviews of 'Impending Hostility' -

Voices from the Darkside: "The most outstanding part of this recording is the sound and here especially the drum sound - which is real, natural and not triggered and falsified with computer-effects / manipulations. Next to the great drum sound I'm really attracted by the dark atmosphere the guys put on plastic. “Impending Hostility” is one more proof of the outstanding Death Metal Poland has to offer. In this case it's Death Metal with Black Metal elements and 9 songs of very good Death Metal in its purest form. Go for this release if you are interested in original sounding Death Metal performed in highest quality."

My Last Chapter: "Preludium keep things interesting with plenty of stops and goes and quick tempo variations, but also by having an overall extremely chunky and overpowering production – the brutality just comes at you... It's of an extremely high quality, the whole lot of it, which makes me wonder how a small and new label got ahold of such a magnificent act, and afforded to release it." 8/10

Metal Review: "Chunky, heavy yet with a degree of complexity and a dash of Middle Eastern hues, Preludium, with their third album, isn't doing anything new or exciting, but they are adding a Hail of Bullets type of war metal atmosphere to the already competent, by the number Polish assault. But I ended up rather enjoying many moments of Impending Hostility 's 31-minute runtime as it's a simple but effective blitzkrieg of no-frills Polish death metal that doesn't try to be complex... With a burly but not overdone production, some convincing low-register growls and a sense of confidence, Preludium is a very competent act." 7.7/10

MetalTeamUK: "Each track makes its statement... In fact there are subtle variations within this blast of belligerent nihilism. Thank goodness for Polish Death Metal. Where would we be without it? It has a special quality and you always know where you stand with it. Great stuff."

Lords of Metal:"On Preludium’s third album ‘Impending Hostility’ the band manages to catch the spirit of good blackend death metal and how it should sound. The Polish band knows well how to play a form of dirty, dark and pretty up tempo metal...Yes, this is stuff worth checking out if you like death metal performed professional and with the right feeling." 78/100

Nocturnal Cult:"On their third full-length album Poland's Preludium bring us ultra-brutal and technical death metal brimming with aggression and blinding speed. Right out of the gates, guitars spit lead like so many belching machineguns on Legacy of Destinations. The drums spew constant tom rolls and precision snare strikes over massive bass drums. Rapid bursts of speed bookend lulls of rumbling bass drums and lumbering riffs as Realm of Void blasts its way through its 3-minute length. Melodic leads find there way into the mayhem. Desolation is overran with spurts of drumming intensity and harmonic guitar squeals. At times hints of Morbid Angel are dropped into the undulating rhythmic passages. Thick lurching riffs, with a true warlike menace open Bitter Cold and bring to mind a melodic union of Bolt Thrower and Morbid Angel and is the one track to really break the paradigm cast by the rest of the album."

Heavy Metal Tribune: "The album also seems to lean more towards death metal compared to the usual black/death metal bands, featuring a more brutal touch to the songs, and the heavy chugging that is prevalent throughout more prominently displays their leaning towards death metal. If you are looking for black/death metal that leans more towards death metal style riffing and soloing, this record is recommended for you."

The Underground: "The band sound like a well oiled machine that will destroy everything in sight. While Preludium do not bring anything new to the table, this is no bullshit, skull crushing extreme metal that is executed well."

Some more reviews of 'Impending Hostility' -

"The guitars throughout Impending Hostility are thick and chunky, rolling over you with the assistance of a rumbling tank for a rhythm section that come across like the rattling of machine guns firing across the front line — rapid fire and slinging lead like nobody’s business." - Metal Maniacs 3.5/5

"Make sure you guys check out “Impending Hostility” because it is no doubt one of the heaviest releases." - Sputnik Music 4.5/5

Latest Preludium interview with Norwegian webzine Imhotep -

"The atmosphere, arrangement and well-done riffs – these are our aims in music. We don't put effort in insincere experiments for the sake of doing experiments. Hopefully, we will develop our original style in each and every piece of music we compose."
