@YK, will the next Sabbat reissues come this year, or planned for next year? Curious to see which cover you'll end up with on Fetishism!

Next one will be V/A Far East Gate in Inferno Double LP. This is an old Japanese black / death / grind / thrash comp that Gezol did on Evil Records. After that we will work on Fetishism.

Will this one be available in Europe, since it wasn't released here before? Or do we have to order directly from you, like the other ones?

Yes, this one can go to Europe since it's a compilation that Iron Pegasus hasn't done.

Back in stock:

Heidens Hart and Nuclear War Now! proudly presents:

PEST "Ära" LP
ANTI-GOTH 379

The debut from 2000 finally on vinyl for the first time. Pest is a German black metal cult that needs no introduction. From the Teutoburger forest, West Germany, comes an album full of madness and weirdness. On this album, Pest displayed how they were prime forerunners of original European black metal that does not sound like Burzum or Darkthrone. Expect chaotic compositions accompanied with hysterical and possessed vocals, executed in a way that would became that recognizable Pest sound.

OUT NOW!

Evil / Siege Column Split MC/TS
ANTI-GOTH 450

(Description by C. Conrad)
As label mates on Nuclear War Now!, Evil (Japan) and Siege Column released their debut full-lengths under its banner in 2017 and 2018, respectively. Upon hearing Evil’s album, “邪悪を讃えよ (Rites of Evil),” Joe Aversario of Siege Column was so impressed that he asked YK Insulter of NWN! about the possibility of releasing a split recording of the two bands. Both bands and the label agreed, and the result is this five-song split EP of metal mayhem and diabolism available first on cassette and later on 7” vinyl. Each band resumes where it recently left off, with a contribution very much in the same vein as on previous recordings. Evil’s three tracks combine the aggressive precision reminiscent of early Teutonic thrash with the unhinged fury of SarcóI_LOVE_PENIS and its Brazilian contemporaries. Siege Column complements these with two offerings of barbaric death metal that obliterate all that somehow managed to survive the initial onslaught. The lethality of each member of this alliance is compounded by their joint inclusion, resulting in a split EP that confirms the merits of the format when properly executed.

7" version will be out by early September.

COMING SOON!

Grave Upheaval “No Title” LP
ANTI-GOTH 242

(Description by J. Campbell)
Grave Upheaval’s debut LP is far more than a mere extrapolation of the work featured on the band’s exceptional 2010 demo and its two subsequent split EPs. Listening to this LP cannot be a passive experience; Grave Upheaval constructs an environment within which the listener is subsumed. The tracks on this album are ominous and oppressive. Inverted tempos and deliberately washed out production contribute to the creation of what may arguably be the most atmospheric Death Metal album to date. Stylistically, Grave Upheaval belongs to the camp of Australian bands that includes Portal, Impetuous Ritual, and their progeny. While those bands tend to exhibit a certain technical virtuosity that occasionally renders the music uncomfortably abstruse to more orthodox listeners, Grave Upheaval revel less in technicality and more in the cavernous darkness of impenetrable walls of repetitious and discordant guitars. The accentuation of ambience rather than technique is Grave Upheaval’s greatest strength and makes the music immediately arresting to the listener without the need to engage in repeat listens before it even begins to set in. The songwriting and performance on the album is primal and severe, while the exquisitely disorienting haze in which the songs are drenched produces a hallucinatory effect. Forms emerge and retreat into the sonic miasma producing a textural richness rarely achieved in Death Metal. As with the band’s prior releases, the presentation and conceptual underpinnings of the band’s work are obscure – alluring, but always remaining just out of the reach of cognition. The album and the tracks on it are nameless and the photographic artwork adorning the release is evocative and abstract.

All copies on black vinyl with 3mm jacket.

OUT NOW!

Nemesis “Lo Que Siento Por Ti / Hombre: Oveja Negra del Universo” Double LP
ANTI-GOTH 446

(Description by J. Campbell)
By now, most fans of extreme metal are familiar with the “ultrametal” style that flourished in Colombia in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Medellín was the central node for this scene, which included such notable bands as Parabellum, Reencarcnacion, and Blasfemia, just to name a few. The city’s musical undercurrent of deviant punk and metal was cinematically memorialized in the 1990 film “Rodrigo D.: No Futuro,” which featured actual street kids instead of professional actors and was the first Colombian film to be entered at the Cannes Film Festival. Judging from the large number of active bands during that era, the city was apparently teeming with alienated and disaffected adolescents seeking cathartic release for their hostile emotions. Though Nemesis lacks the name recognition of the aforementioned ultrametal bands, the band’s sound is undeniably in keeping with its peers from that era. The same brittle and abrasive guitar tone that dominates much of the Medellín sound is present on these recordings, but Nemesis arguably have a slightly more sophisticated approach, more influenced by metal than punk. Like many of the Medellín bands (i.e. Astaroth, Herpes, Gloster Gladiator) Nemesis’ only vinyl recording was a self-released 7” entitled “Hombre: Oveja Negra Del Universo”, which came out in 1988. Two years later, Nemesis released their full-length demo, “Lo Que Siento Por Ti,” after which the band receded into the distant memory of the Medellín underground. Over the last decade or so, the resurgence of interest in that scene has led to the excavation of a handful of nearly forgotten classics, and, fortunately for fans of the genre, these Nemesis recordings are no longer lost to obscurity. Two years ago, the French label Epidemia Records reissued a vinyl edition of the 7” and a CD version of the demo, at last making these recordings widely available. This DLP edition, a joint project between NWN! and Epidemia, marks the first time both titles have been collected for a single reissue.

Nice! Does this mean that NunSlaughter can now play in the NWN! fest?

Yes, but I have a backlog of bands that need to play first so it won't be 2020.

Hahahaha! I understand, but at least there's the hope of this happening now. There's no hurry either.
Thanks for the reply!

Coming Soon on NWN! in Conspiracy with Nattetale

Nupta Cadavera "Nupta Cadavera" 7"
ANTI-GOTH 457

(Description by J. Campbell)
With this debut EP, Nupta Cadavera makes a defiant proclamation of purpose. The membership of the band is largely unknown, except that it is comprised of an international group of musicians, including members of the Korpsånd Circle in Denmark. Gaining wider recognition in the last few years, the many bands affiliated with Korpsånd and their Mayhem venue/rehearsal space have collectively broadened the spectrum of the Danish black metal scene. The two songs on this self-titled EP possess a distinctive approach, one that reflects a self-annihilating synthesis of sounds commingled. The band’s name draws upon this trait. “Nupta Cadavera,” Latin for “marriage with a corpse,” signifies the union of the living with the dead, the twin pillars of existence, entangled, symmetrically braided. The two tracks feature the gilded glint of guitars, metallic and bold, crashing together and coiled around the melodic thrust of the keyboards, the two elements at times clashing in a brassy display of internecine discordance. Nested within the compositional armature of the songs, the vocals, desperate and grim, break the tension. The dissonance is then sculpted in the service of songs that are punchy, succinct, and imminently listenable, immediately commanding repeat plays. It is difficult to reconcile the quality of these songs with the fact that this is the band’s debut recording, and one hopes more will soon follow.
