| how many people here are Anti CD??? VINYL only type??? i find myself over the last few years parting with most of my cd's and replacing with vinyl versions if possible.and sometimes even completely ignoring a release if its cd only..ive gone from a couple thosand cd's down to a couple hundred!!! |

| as in you dont buy cd's at all? a guy i work with has thousands of records and has NEVER purchased one cd - he's a vinyl freak. |

Nope, I only have vinyl in my personal collection. I have bought CDs for other people when doing trades for Vinyl. I just recently purchased some Blasphemophagher CDs for myself though, as they are too killer of a band not to buy them. Couldn't help myself...

I don't mind CDs for blasting in my car. For home listening I prefer vinyl. Tape I like for demos and promos mostly.

| I have no problems with CDs. I got everything: tapes, Cds and vinyls. Its the music what is the most important. |

not really anti cd. i like all formats, actually, but nostalgia-wise the tape format hits the spot.
cds are great when you're listening to very monotonous music, you can just hit repeat and vegetate for hours. the vinyl does not offer that possibility, as far as i can recall.

I have a tape player in my car. But I don't mind CDs as well. Many things are not still repressed on vinyl so it will not be the condition for not listening to any band. Anyway, I buy far more vinyls than CDs.

I prefer Vinyl&tape, but for some records (my favourite ones) I collect all mediums theyre pressed in. There are also some CD-only Releases that are very good, and I don't mind to hunt for them even if I like vinyl more. As the previous posters said, it's the music that is more important. I also agree with NWN! except I like album cassettes, too.
