Yeah, the first IMPALED NAZARENE demo reminded me of EXTREME NOISE TERROR first time I heard it, and not just because of the cover song.
Seems silly to call every instance of that gallop a "D-beat" since it's such a common beat. Whenever I heard that term (usually as "Dis-beat") it was just to describe Dis-clones.
The ACCION MUTANTE discography was the last solid crust/HC I've heard. That scene's been quite moribund since the TRAGEDY-aping craze. And that new trend of crusties doing the BM thing is fucking terrible IMO. |

Have you checked out Audio Kollaps from Germany?
Pretty heavy Death Metal influence on the vocals though. _________________ A nobody in a world of somebodies.

another example would be Baphomets Horns....they don't consistently use D-beat drumming, but there are moments in some of their songs that do have it....the drummer for this band is a fucking machine |

Found this stuff LEGION666 – Black Goat Armageddon LP from hardcore/crust distro but never heard their material. Describe as a crust black metal….
Check Horned Almighty – Devils Music. You’ll get a good mixture between BM and Crust (D-beat), I think. |
