Blasphemaphagaforoaljdl or whatever they're called is very good.
Italy had a lot of great occult heavy metal.

| Indeed! I think the Italian occultish heavy metal bands are better than the black/death ones. PAUL CHAIN, BLACK HOLE and DARK QUARTERER are truly awesome. Italy also has some great traditional epic/heavy metal bands, like WOTAN (pure early MANOWAR worship!) and HOLY MARTYR (their first demo, ''Hatred & Warlust'' is excellent! The LP is pretty good too). |

Unfortunately the vocals aren't the best...but the music is mindblowing!!!
The "new scene" has a few very good Black Metal bands...like Melets, Malvento, Spite Extreme Wing...are the best newer things I heard so far from Italy. Really great stuff! |

OK, I do not blame them, but the english of the vocalist is very clumsy. His pronouncing etc. is very cute with the sharp sss's and the rolling r's, you know what I mean? But I think, it's a matter of taste. For me it doesn't fit so good to the really dark and haunting music... |

(I try to find some shops, I will post new stuff soon)
for venue:
it depends when you will come in Rome. There are some clubs that propose metal nights or stuff like that.
If you say me when you come here I say you if there are concerts or metal nights.

If you need some vinyl stuff in ROME go here  :
1) TRANSMISSION REC.( http://www.transmission.it )- V.dei Salentini,27(S.Lorenzo) - this store is really near the railway station "Roma Termin"& have some good/great vinyls & used stuff (not new) but the prieces sometimes are a little bit high...I've bring the guys of GHASTLY 2 years ago in this record store & Ian the guitar player had found the original BLACK HOLE LP...lucky guy...
2) PINK MOON REC Via Antonio Pacinotti, 3/c ( http://www.pinkmoonrecords.com ) ....Great Vinyl & CD store...really good prieces..a lot of METALLO ITALIANO is available here (this place is the south side of Rome)
3) DISFUNZIONI MUSICALI ( http://www.disfu.com ) (near TRANSMISISON rec) via degli Etruschi 4...10 or more years ago they had a lot of great stuff...not too much now...LP & CD
Other good store are: REVOLVER - Via S.Gherardi 90/102 (Ponte Marconi) (near the PINK MOON rec) ...only CD here....Good Hunt Man!!!

Sadly I won't be able to make it to that gig. I'm too short in funds and I have the Blasphemy LP coming out. It will be all hell once that comes out!!
How about a release on NWN?
