I know. I bought it at the same time when I bought the Cradle-CD, an ex-girlfriend was very much into this... Embarassed

Soon after, the whole scene started the keyboard-BM-bashing and I was "forced" to sell these records, I also sold the first two (really good!) Dimmu-CDs.

Of course, this is all stupid teenager bullshit, but now I regret this... Rolling Eyes

It went straight downhill after that. The lyrics got worse and the musicians' skills were really on a low level.

I blindly bought Fas Ite from Northern Heritage (of all labels - they are European as well as Finnish, and I'm Canadian, enough said) and really, what's all the praise for, it's pure nonsense. I hope it's someway worth something. I have a big record on blind purchases (as well as buying items for way too much) because of the popularity of a band or for having a great cover, fortunately, that's all behind me (or almost).

Fas Ite.... while different, is a great record in my opinion. Regardless of personal taste, that album is REALLY pushing/obscuring the boundries of what extreme metal is and can be. There is SO much going on in that album. you can listen to it 100 times and still hear something new that you didn't notice. Its kinda like Gorguts "Obscura" filtered through a black metal aesthetic. Its probably not worth too much now, but give it a couple years and you'll be able to get a decent chunk of change for it.

Is this the only D.s.O. album you have heard?? If it is, I HIGHLY recommend you check out "Si Monumentum Requires Circumspice". It is a mandatory black metal monement, in my opinion.

I have the debut by BG Knoc Out and DJ Dre'sta, proteges of Eazy-E. I've always thought real oldschool Califonia G-funk has its own mystique. It died in '95, but while it lasted, it was fun to hear those guys threaten each other. BG and Dre'sta are both convicted felons and ex-Crips. I guess that's as much street cred as one can ask for.
