I just totally worship the Nocturnal Graves album as some might have gathered on this forum. Have been listening to heavy music with a vengance for the past 3 years only, and have so fucking little knowledge about most stuff you guys are talking about.
So....... Can this old man get some tips about other bands kindred with my new obsession Nocturnal Graves.
Thanks. |

If you dig that NG album, you're going to like a lot of Australian death metal. One of my all-time favorites is Vomitor "Bleeding The Priest," though that album's probably out of print (you can get someone to tape it for you). Martire is another classic Oz band, check out their S/T ep (that NWN reissued) or "Lucifer" ep for more deathrash stuff, or their "United In Hell" split (w/ Throneum), where they get a little more technical (but no less deadly). And if you like the later Martire, you'll probably like Portal. Also Gospel of the Horns, Atomizer, Destruktor, there's a ton of greats... _________________ "Great holes secretley are digged where earth's pores ought to suffice, and things have learnt to walk that ought to crawl..." |

Thanks man. Martire ep(NWN) is a newfound classic for me, and I got the Portal vinyl last week. Will check out Vomitor ASAP. |

My pick from Australia would be:
Slaughter Lord demo 1987
Sadistik Exekution "The Magus" period
HOBBS debut LP
Nomenclature Diablerie demo 1988
Bestial Warlust
Destroyer 666 "Unchain the Wolves" LP |

That VOMITOR 'Bleeding the Priest' album is one of my favorites as well! Very filthy sounding!
If you like the VOMITOR, check out the EVIL ANGEL 'Unholy Fight For Metal' album. I just recently got that and it reminds me of VOMITOR alot in it's sound, even though EVIL ANGEL are from Finland. (HellsHeadbanger's has them.)
And SLAUGHTER LORD and SADISTIK EXEKUTION stuff is essential.

Not just Australian but stuff in the style of Nocturnal Graves...
Nifelheim first two albums
Sarcofago INRI
Sextrash sexual carnage
Pentagram (chile)
Sadus illusions
Most of this stuff you can find on CD. _________________ The only email I have access to is nwnprod (at) gmail (dot) com. I do not have access to my old Yahoo addresses.
