Nuit Noire is way less hype than Alcest and Amesoeurs. No question about that. _________________

But what I have heard of Alcest is NOT metal. If that band labels themselves as that it is kinda weird. It sounds like early 90`s shoegazer stuff. Disintegration by the Cure also comes to mind. As it is, it is not bad at all, but it is not metal. Not even close I would say. Have only heard 3 songs though, so I could be very wrong. |

| The hype surrounding Alcest is getting out of control if you ask me, their/his Le secret Ep is one of the most cashgrabbing cd's on ebay today. On the other hand, I actually am not aware that there's a hype surrounding Nuit Noire, I've been listenin to 'em since the demo days. Still like 'em now. the guitar tone is just beautiful and hypnotic. |

| I don't know what to think about them. I mean their earlier bm material wasn't great, and neither is the new but it isn't horrible either. The vocals give it a sort of feminine feeling unfortunately, either that or a humorous style. The guitars are semi-decent, i.e. the sound/distortion. |

| Lunar Deflagration certainly caught me off guard, wasn't what I expected at all. Once that shock wore out though I was left with a very honest and above all very good album. I have Fantomatic Plenitude on its way to me, and I'm looking forward to hearing it. That 2CD demo compilation will be nice too, going to grab that when I see it. |

I thought fromt he description I might really like Nuit Noire but it just didn't grab me. I like lots of weird shit, so I don't hate it, it's just not my thing....
That Alcest on the other hand I despised. I couldn't sell it back to the store fast enough. I seem to be in the minority on that one, but
One of the few records on Profound Lore I'm not nuts about. |

| I quite like Alcest, ok it's not particularly Metal but it's quite relaxing music when you're in the mood for something like that. |
