If you just include a fake invoice, saying that the value is this and that,
the customs can't do anything but to let it go through, since the invoice
is valid proof of the value.

That doesn't work in every country from my experience.

I donÄt know if this is everywhere, but sometimes they
make copie of the Bill i get into for the sum of the Items.
They can over 1 Year take Money back, if they find out, thats
more worth that on the Bill... |

Then I'd really like to hear the reason why the customs took it. They don't
believe the store/person who included the invoice then? Sounds fucking
stupid.

They are fucking stupid here...they earn a shitload of cash...a packet I got from the States last Nov. cost me 27 Eur...
If they don´t find the real value of the LP inside the packet, they take Ebay prices...(sometimes !)
Everytime I go to the customs to get my parcels I had a new experience with them. |

They don't care what you put on the customs invoice. They would rather make up their own prices and get more cash out of you. In the end they hold all of the cards. You can not do much but to pay up.
I had to pay $2000 to the corrupt Chilean customs to get 200 Death Yell DLPs out of their fucking warehouse last year. It took nearly a month for the band to get their records and all the while the customs assholes were threatening to return the parcels or dump them in the trash. Fuck customs.

Those shits usually charge me an arm and a leg...
It was good a few years back, but now they almost open every package
I get. Wonder if they have me on their shit list.
Mind you, it's not the taxes that kill, it's those special "charges" they
usually add to the taxes.

Weird, I only had two or three encounters with custums in the last years.
There's really nothing you can do about these guys. If they've got your package, you can only pay. No point in fighting them, even if you know you're right, because that will cost you more money than paying the taxes. |

Wow, I'm a bit surprised. Did that really work for you? A local customs official has told me lately, as they hold a record from a trade with a Japanese guy back, that even for a gift has to be paid duty on when its actual value is over a certain amount. Sounded to me that it doesn't matter any longer if you buy some stuff, get it in trade or as a gift. All goods have to be declared when they raise a certain assessment threshold. I just don't understand the customs.

Many many orders in the 2 years... like 7 Blasphemy die hards slipped no prob through , 3 KAT die hards declared as 12$ value from myself and that was A-OK/many others fake nvoices with more absurd value declarations, copied a mail from NWn! that the items are gifts and all that! No problem so far .
Its a custom station in the harborarea in KreatorTown. Most probably cool relaxed people there

Oh yes and never argue, just bring some papers and make sure it is the right shit they want to see.
For half a year I had to pay a visit to where the Customs - Grottenolme live and open almost every little parcel/letter I got from overseas and bring a proof that it would be of little value - even when it was just one ragged shirt or item.
As of lately that stopped completely. I have no clue what their policy concerning searches etc is.
