I did that last Thursday. Fucking cunt... I don't think I could be bothered selling through ebay any more now after a couple of items sell. I can't see why anybody would want to buy from me now after that prick destroyed my years old 100% rating.

Done with the place too. I'm fed up of every single time I sell something some idiot starts trying to talk down the cost of the postage despite me listing the price. I refuse to sell non registered toplaces like mexico and china and the second they start asking for non registered I just cancel the deal. Don't care about neg feedback. Rather that than lose out on money or my record/shirt/zine etc.

Call ebay again and don't let up on them. Use the argument of "We cancelled the transaction, why should he be able to leave feedback on a transaction that never happened?" Then repeat this until it gets through their thick skulls.
Some asshole "misbid" on something, begged to be let out of the auction, and that was that. Transaction canceled... then he decided to leave me neutral feedback. Ebay told me they couldn't do anything. I repeated my stance and they put me on hold. After 40 minutes of arguing this shit, they finally relented in taking the feedback off.
It's an instant process so giving them time to sort it out isn't helping you at all. |

What? A seller is in no way responsible for postal mishandling. A refund or replacement is not at the fault (and doubled financial loss) of a label.
This only applies to reputable and trustworthy sellers though, I suppose.

you should contact ebay about this, since their guidelines clearly state that charging for paypal and ebay fees is not the buyers problem.
had a similar case and the seller definitely knew that i was right, so he refunded me the difference when i only mentioned contacting ebay

In fairness it's also against paypals rules for a seller to ever pass on paypal fees to the customer yet every label / any type of online store does it. If the seller offers alternative methods of payment and the buyer chooses paypal then the buyer should be responsible for the fees not the seller.
But yeah I don't think sellers should pass on ebay fees only paypal ones. The only reason it's against ebay rules for sellers to pass on paypal fees to buyers is because the same company owns ebay and paypal and if a seller pass on paypal fees to a buyer then a buyer might be more likely to use bank transfer as a payment option which means less profit for ebay thats also why anyone who opens an account now and starts selling has to offer paypal as a payment method.

I see nothing wrong with him overcharging for shipping.
You were aware of the price you had to pay for the item and shipping and you agreed to pay both.
What if you found out he got the item for free and then sold it? Would you try to get more money back because his cost was less than what he charged you? |

I TRY TO GET NOTHING BACK, and i do not cry for 15 $ the time that my collection cost more than 80. 000 euro BUT IF YOU PAY 10 for postage and you charge 25 THEN IT MEANS SOMETHING

definitely a dick head move on behalf of the seller to NOT offer to do a partial refund after what sounds like severely overcharging on the shipping. sure once in a while packages weigh less than expected and you might actually make a dollar on shipping for your efforts, however in this case where the greater majority of the shipping charge is pure profit, thats kind of despicable and dishonorable tactics whether you "agreed" to the terms or not. then again, this is the funderground.... a lot "metal head" collectors/brokers seem to be shit bags these days, many of which particularly coming out of europe (and that ONE from Israel)
