Much has been said and written about Swedish death metal in recent years. Many bands have seen an increase in popularity as newer fans embrace this style of death metal. Swedish death metal is predominantly known for its use of the HM-2 pedal using galloping riffs and sheer heaviness to throttle the listener. Sarcasm is a little different and focused on potent song-writing that may remind the listener of more black-tinged Swedish acts such as Darkified.

Dark Descent Records is honored to align itself with this very underrated (an often overused term that is correctly used here) and often overlooked early 90s Swedish death metal act out of Uppsala. The "Burial Dimensions" 2CD offers the COMPLETE works of Sarcasm including their unreleased 1994 album, "Burial Dimensions" for the first time on CD. In all 31 tracks are presented in this double disc spanning over three hours of dark, sinister death.

CD 1
Track 1-8: Burial Dimensions Album 1994
Track 9-12: A Touch of the Burning Red Sunset Demo 1994

CD 2
Track 1-4: Unreleased Demo 1993
Track 5-6: Dark Demo 1993
Track 7-9: In Hate - Demo 1992
Track 10-15: Soul Enchantment… Demo 1992
Track 16-19: Fleshwaste - Demo 1992

Cover art by Raul Gonzalez. Mastered by Ted Tringo at TAW (The Ancient Way) Mastering.

Vinyl version of the 1994 unreleased album, Burial Dimensions, will be released later this year as a co-release between Dark Descent Records and To the Death Records.

Pre-orders are up now for the CD. They will ship at the end of THIS month.

Aw. A Touch of the Burning Red Sunset and the "new" album on the same disk makes me sad.

They were recorded in the same year. What's the issue?

I'm not a fan of having extra tracks on albums. And I've kind of come to think of A Touch... as an album on its own too. So I'm kind of seeing it as two albums on one disc.

Well, it's not. It's a 20 minute demo. Burial Dimensions is their only album. These aren't throwaway tracks...it is a discography compilation.

Yes, same material! The vinyl version will just be the Burial Dimensions album.

The label still sells it for about €32 (300SEK on the label's bandcamp page). Don't think that's expensive for a 3LP-box, but that's just my view on it. Will pass this as I got the TTD release a couple of years ago, but great to see this is released. The unreleased album is really good.

Edit; had to put this on; the 1994 demo slays as well. Strange how the band didn't get any more attention than they did.

@Matt: "Cover art by Raul Gonzalez. Mastered by Ted Tringo at TAW (The Ancient Way) Mastering. "; This means that it's not the same master as in the 3LP TTD released? Maybe I have to get this version afterall if so. The Burial Dimensions album on the TTD release sounds like a raw-mix; I like it how it is, but I'm curious if it has been improved/changed for this release.

For those who haven't heard the band: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jDr_kw0-4o (1994 demo). Fucking slays.

Yeah Ted did a slight massaging to the tracks and the band loved it. Definitely an improvement.

The TTD 3LPs ship from Sweden. I don't think he has that many left, honestly. I should ask and see about absorbing those.

2CD will be out in about three weeks.

Never paid much attention to this band. Probably because of their weird name. Anyway, just listened to the track Through Tears of Gold...and I'm sold.

Nice
