Anyone into Hawkwind here?

Funny no one mentioned bout the band with them being a key psych out/space rock band..

Hawkwind are my favourite band, bar none....I have been somewhat obsessed by the Lemmy era Hawkwind for 20+ years now, I also collect 70's Hawkwind posters, a VERY expensive habit but for me, very rewarding.

Post some pics of that collection if you can! I'd love to see those posters, Hawkwind is incredible.

Here is a poster from the 1974 UK tour.

This one is 1974 USA tour with Man.

Poster that came with Japanese version of Space Ritual.

Poster that came with copies of Doremi Falsol Latido.

Space Ritual gig poster!!!!! (not from the recording but near enough!)

Last ever 'Pink Wind' gig from 1975.

Promo from '72/'73.

The next 5 are from the Space Ritual tour.

Lastly, a 'Lemmy Fly' by Savage Pencil.

Lucifer's Friend's Ride In The Sky track is a fucking Metal masterpiece I think....dark and heavy with great lyrics. The rest of the album is totally forgettable and boring to my ears sadly, a shame really.

I'm really glad to hear someone else say that! I was beginning to think I might be some kind of blasphemer for not appreciating the rest of the album! Ride In The Sky is a great track!

Anybody heard Ash Ra Tempel? Just curious if anybody is aware of more 70ies Psych/Progressive/Kraut Rock, cause I'm new to that. Sometimes I really dig this stuff.

If you like Amon Duul II, I'm sure you'd be into Ash Ra Tempel. Ash Ra Tempel I is worth checking out!

He is playing here in Omaha in August outside on the Riverfront...

MAHOGANY RUSH (with ANGEL, HUMBLE PIE & MOTHERS FINEST) was the first "Real" concert I ever saw when I was 13 or so....

Second Concert was JUDAS PRIEST on the BRITISH STEEL tour with an unbelievably young DEF LEPPARD opening in Spring of 1980 in San Antonio....

(I'm 42 if your trying to do the math! Ha!)

Anyone knows Kannibal Komix? I need to know if it's as good as it looks. It's so cheesy.

I am so glad to see this thread resurrected! Very Happy

I went to see Hawkwind a few weeks ago which was great! Sadly the set was cut short (finished 11PM, supposed to go 'til 2AM) because some stupid teenage bitch shouted 'RAPE!!!' by the cubicles, despite the fact it wasn't. This resulted in the police being called out and everyone having to go home. Sad It was basically a local fest and she spoilt EVERYONE'S evening by doing that.

Another cool early 1970s band was TRAPEZE with:
Glenn Hughes - Bass & Vocals (Later in DEEP PURPLE)
Mel Galley - Guitar (Later in WHITESNAKE...when they were still Metal, pre MTV years!!!)
Dave Holland-Drums (Later In Judas Priest)

Also
DUST from New York 1970 to 1973...faeturing Marky Ramone waaay before the Ramones...
DUST - DUST
