didn't see a thread for this, thought some people might be interested:

https://mondotees.com/products/joel-grind-equinox-death-waltz-originals

Joel Grind (sole member of Toxic Holocaust) takes time out from delivering bone crunching extreme metal and has hot-wired a battery of analog synths for his debut release on Death Waltz Originals.

Alongside Pentagram Home Video and Slasher Film Festival Strategy, this record represents the very best of the new wave of synth artists inspired by a love for cheap horror films of the 80’s and their unique synth soundtracks. The record pulses with chugging aggressive keyboards and layers of sound helping create a fully immersive listening experience that, although based in the past, has its sights very firmly set in the future.

One off pressing of 400 units worldwide on 180g Orange & Black split vinyl with Clear & White splatter.

Didn't he make the live musicians into official members back around Conjure and command?

Sounds very weak. It seems like he made all the songs in a couple of hours with random presets.
I really like the artwork though.

Listened to it online yesterday, enjoyed it. Ordered the split vinyl today because it looks pretty cool (vinyl color and sleeve). Plus I kinda love/hate how rare most Mondo/Death Waltz stuff gets Rolling Eyes

I'm personally looking for the Varg Vikernes/ Rob Darken synth wave colab that's sure to be coming any day soon...

This trend is weak and I find it funny as fuck that it is "acceptable" among zer kvlters to dig this but not other forms of electronic music. Having said that Com Truise ist krieg.

I got the Mondo Mad Max: Fury Road vinyl and the pressing is pure shit. Loadsa surface noise and no fucking damage to the vinyl. Ugh. I have second hand original presses from the 70's that sound better!

Agreed about the trend, and I have zero interest in any of this guy's projects, but there are definitely some great acts in this style right now, like Crypt Vapor. And who doesn't listen to other forms of electronic music?

I can't stand the shit , it just sounds like a gayer version of Daft Punk to me .
The only electronic music I get into is Hardcore , Nasenbluten ist krieg Twisted Evil

First he capitalizes on the Thrash revival, now he capitalizes on Synth Wave.

What a trendy fuck.

Yeah, he probably made this recording in order to buy a yacht. Royalties from 400 vinyl records sales must be enough to cover it Laughing

tangerine dream covers the "stranger things" sound track:

https://soundcloud.com/tangerinedreamofficial2015/without-glitch?utm_source=soundcloud&utm_campaign=wtshare&utm_medium=Facebook&utm_content=https%3A%2F%2Fsoundcloud.com%2Ftangerinedreamofficial2015%2Fwithout-glitch

That's one of the more stranger things to happen this year.

Up is down, down is up, older bands have to desperately attempt to remind people of the order of the universe.

This synthwave shit's getting out of hand. That being said, Unit Black Flight, the first Nightcrawler album and Kavinsky's Outrun (yeah, subtract that from my kvlt kard), still rule.
