Abhoth's CD compilation will also be available at the same time. Pre-orders for both titles will begin later this week.

I also just received test tapes for two new demos. Abyss and Reliquary. Both bands are very different, style-wise but both hail from Canada. Expect these to be available very soon as well.

Thevetat, Abhoth CDs and the first DD tapes in over a year all shipping now.

Before I get on to the info regarding the new releases I have some info regarding the web store. I have recently upgraded the store to a newer version. The upgrade is seamless to you. With that said, you will not be getting any store generated emails. I am currently looking into the situation to fix this. I am aware of this. This means that you will not get an order confirmation email, a password reset email and your emails using the "contact us" tab are not coming through to me. Please do not worry, your orders are still making it to the shop. You can always log into your account and if you see your order there, it is also available to me. Do not do a "forgot password" because as I mentioned earlier, you will not get the reset email and it will render your account useless. THEVETAT - Disease to Divide demo CD: NY classic death metal band make their first offering. Deep in the mind since 2004, it wasn't until 2011 the beast that is Thevetat took its proper shape. Total filthy death metal is spewed forth in this three song demo. Crushing riffs, gutteral vocals, and relentless blasting open the gates of hell. Featuring members of Ceremonium, Hemlock and Cerebral Haemorrage, Thevetat bring unholy power to the abyssic domain of corruption with an emphasis on strong songwriting and occult themes. Disease to Divide is a cooperation between Dark Descent and Destro Records. Death metal that speaks for the dead.

ABHOTH - The Tide + Complete Demos CD: Dark Descent Records is proud to announce the complete discography from Sweden's ABHOTH featuring ex members of UTUMNO, GOD MACABRE and AFFLICTED.

Abhoth were one of the first death metal bands in Sweden and formed in the town of Västerås in 1988 under the name Morbid Salvation Army. The original line-up included vocalist Joakim Bröms who left in 1990 to join Afflicted (ex-Afflicted Convulsion).

This CD discography features The Matter of Splatter - Demo 1989, Forever to be Vanished There In - Demo 1991, The Tide - EP 1992, Divine Orphan - Demo 1994 and unreleased demo / rehearsal tracks from 1990-91.

The CD is adorned with "The Tide" cover illustration by Paw Nielsen, rare band photos, cult interviews and new extensive liner notes by Jonas Stålhammar and Jörgen Kristensen.

RELIQUARY - Nothingness Victory demo pro tape: Canada is known for it's bleak winters and harsh extreme scene. Reliquary, the newest offering from Canada, does not break the mold set forth by their extreme predecessors and channels the country's winter doldrums into some of the bleakest music yet. "Nothingness Victory" is a 13 minute slab of depressive funeral doom unlike any previous release on Dark Descent Records. As with other Dark Descent tape releases, this is pro-printed and pro-pressed. Limited to only 250 copies.
