Not sure if this one has been posted.

http://foreverslainzine.com/2015/04/interview-mikko-aspa-clandestine-blaze-from-finland/

A decent read:

"Iím more concerned about lack of Ďzines. Perhaps lack of furious dialogue of the metaphysical side of black metal. While in old days, separation of true and false was firm. Now false black metal is welcomed with open arms by vast amount of listeners. Situation where for example concerns of economy of the music business enters the discussion, itís already quite a slippery surface for black metal."

AND mentions a Satanic Warmaster singles collection, new Mgla plus so much more!

Is anyone here familiar with Diaboli?

Where have you been? Rolling Eyes this band has existed for many years and released cds on FMP, Unisound and NH... Not really easy to have missed them

Some things fall through the cracks, ya know what I mean? It's no biggie. There are a ton of bands who've been around for a while who I haven't listened to.

Diaboli is one of the best Finnish bands in my opinion. If you dont know them, then definitely change that.

The guy has so many projects. You can't expect them all to be equally active. He released new Grunt and Clandestine Blaze albums almost simultaneously!

Will read the interview.

Diaboli didn't do it for me. Just got rid of my Mesmerized by darkness cd a few weeks ago.

That's just not good enough. You've failed the extreme underground encylopedic knowledge of bands test. I hope you feel ashamed of yourself.

Good to see him talk about Grunt. Myth of Blood was great.
