Lord Mantis' Pervertor is one of my most played LPs of the last couple years.

Anything else with the same high-pitched BM style vocals?

Usually hate this shit but

FULL BLOWN A.I.D.S. is killer - Seth Putnam on guitar and vocals - probably his best project!

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but the Soggy Bog of Doom radio show/podcast is a great place to hear new sludge/doom. Periodically he'll run a sludge special (they're probably still available in the archives)

Churchburn! One of the dudes from Grief and Dave Suzuki, sounds weird, but totally rules.

I wouldn't call it sludge... its just really bass heavy. more noise rock/hardcore distortion.

California has had some decent sludge over the last few years. Druggernaut and Swamp Witch come to mind right away.

Haven't really heard much interesting new sludge in years. The genre is in its death throes and rightly so.

Potop from Macedonia and Sunface from Finland are very cool though.

'Primula Pestis' from THEE PLAGUE OF GENTLEMEN is one of the highlights in this genre!

I don't think I even know what 'sludge' is anymore, the genre lines are so blurred....
