I don't know if this album has been mentioned before but since 1 month I cannot stop spinning the 1st side.Especially ''Ritual'',Elizabeth''(hymn) and ''Stand by him''.
Catchy parts,singing refrains,simple structures and...Satan!I love it!
Inspired band and I believe they can write better songs in the future.
Any opinions? |

Great album. But to be honest the simplicity and easy appeal of it has kind of worn off. The slick sick candy sweetness has lost it's addictive hook.
Perhaps a new album would be alright, but these songs are shallow and easy appeal, not a great deal of depth to them. The whole aspect of this crowd pleaser has passed over now... for me anyways. Not something in heavy rotation anymore, kinda like how the whole aspect of the top 40 world works to begin with. On the charts for two weeks, and then gone forever with something new and as polished in it's place instead... over and over again. |
