Surprising in another poll where some people prefer Les Legions Noirs or something else.
Best scene to talk about. |

Why pick, we've already made it this far. Between Mysteriis, the four Burzums, Viking-nigr Veldi, Nightside, PH and DFM, peaceville Dthrone. This is metal narrowed to the max. f'(x) = 0. |

Burzum
I hold Burzum, surprisingly, above the rest mostly because his early albums(or just albums in general) seem like they have little to do with being just metal albums, and more to do with being an expression of Varg himself, and that's what usually tends to interest me in music in general. _________________ "It's a beautiful thing, the destruction of words."

Because I also want my poll.
Ildjarn, only know them from the split with Hate Forest. Will see. |

What sets Burzum apart is how hard it is to spot influences from past metal. Mayhem obviously wears first wave BM on its sleeve, and the rest borrowed maybe from some death metal here or their friends black metal band there. Burzum sounds like it was composed in a vacuum with no outside influence. |

Of the available bands, I had to go with Burzum. Varg wrote music more memorable than any other band listed, for my taste at least. Darkthrone is a very close second. _________________ Whore's Skeleton - Self Loathing Black Noise |
