Will be there this weekend, looking for shows, recommended record stores, any other weird/fucked up places to check out.
Can't find another thread on this, google search gave me nothing

Jive Time, Wall of Sound, and Rat City Records are all worth hitting as far as record stores go as well. If you end up pit stopping in Tacoma it's worth checking out High Voltage and Turntable Treasures which are a couple blocks from each other. Scarecrow video is also worth going to. Other than shows, get a Cubano sandwich at Un Bien and prolly go get some beers at the Baranof and maybe cruise around Discovery Park if the weather's ok. In addition to the Fornicator/Demoncy/Profanatica gig, Nightfell's playing at Substation the night before if that's of any interest.

Is Zions Gate still around? I know the bloke is hated due to Kreation Records et al, but he was ok in my dealings with him. Also they had some decent stuff the few times I visited Seattle (albeit 10 odd years back).

Shorty's was a fucking cool bar with a lot of space dedicated to pinnies and they played Entombed when I was there, if you are a pinball slut such as myself.

I picked up a GRIFFIN - Flight of the Griffin LP there for $10 last time I visited.

Obama in town friday and it's pride weekend so it's gonna be a trafficky shit show all through downtown and capitol hill.

Don't skip Georgetown Records, sometimes it's a bust, but I've picked up some cool shit there. Heavy on imports/obscure psych.

Lots of good pinball in Seattle (museum in the ID, Shorty's, Add-A-Ball, etc.)

Chimes at Midnight is playing at SIFF uptown all weekend.

Bruce and Brandon Lee's graves.

All the weird shit in town is getting bulldozed for condos.

They used to have a great jukebox with tons of metal classics and it was entirely free. I would always watch the workers groan in agony when they heard the first notes of A Dangerous Meeting. Would always que DBTO 10+ times in a row before I left. Alas, it is no more.
