Agnes Vein - Soulship
-AAR 13-001
-Jewelcase CD edition, 8-page booklet
-Tape version scheduled to follow in the near future

Second full-length by this distinctive doom band now available on CD. Presenting a mix of all sorts of slow-paced influences dealing with esoteric aspects of an eternal night. This is mandatory for the Neurosis-worshiping audience, especially since Agnes Vein stand among the few bands of nowadays who filtered their darkness according to their own personal view.

Amongst other elements you'll find hints of old Anathema, Cathedral & Celtic Frost's "Monotheist"; even though their entire aesthetic ends up very different in nature. There is a darkness traced that's very similar, yet parallel in terms of mentality. Arcane Angels are also pressing "Duality" on vinyl, "...of Chaos and Law" on tape (and other formats too, possibly), as well as their upcoming, crushing album on all formats.

Price is 9€ excluding shipping. But please note all customers get a 10% discount by combining three Arcane Angels releases, or place any order that exceeds the amount of 50€.

Talashar "Secrets of the Astral Art" preview cover art:

CD is expected to be out sometime around early September, LP version is scheduled to follow in the near future. The recording has been remastered by Ayloss of Spectral Lore, as faithfully as possible to the old 90s spirit (without making it sound "dated" or anything like this).

"On the 13th of September comes out the album of the year. Perhaps my opinion is biased, taken into account I'm the one releasing it, but I think it makes sense how I want to release only the music I consider best. Samples, etc, soon..."

Not my words obviously. AAR say they'll hopefully preview two tracks this week.

"Worship Black Twilight - Breaking the circle.

Arcane Angels is excited to announce what they consider their album of the year; the debut full-length release by the astral black metal entity of YOHUALLI. By drawing their influence from ancient Mayan civilizations, as well as a cosmic aura not far from the brilliance that inspired such bands in the first place, YOHUALLI have incorporated a variety of elements into their identity, crafting a work distinctive in its own ways.

Fact is the release was in need of a careful treatment for their material was a mess and literally required six remastering attempts until we managed to nail the exact sound. The goal was to preserve its chaos, expand it, and perhaps, give it a new dimension, since the guitars sound nearly astral and this dense sound only enhances their brilliant ideas. It is a truth YOHUALLI draw influence from older bands, but make no mistake; nothing out there sounds quite like them in reality. Their songwriting skills present a heavy metal mentality incorporated into their lead guitars, as they speed their way through their compositions without the sense of fear, or the weary thought of a bleak tomorrow.

YOHUALLI "self titled" is expected to be available on the 13th of September; but even if our copies won't arrive by then, you should know the 13th of September is its official release date. Truth is we have a permanent bundle offer for our titles, but we thought to take it a bit further, so YOHUALLI "s/t" will be available for a period of two weeks for the discounted price of 7€ plus shipping. You can be sure of course we'll post some pictures of the edition as soon as it's available, but for now, you can take a look at the band's new logo, carefully designed by Arcane Accidents (original concept credits to Yohualli)."

The members don't belong to their ''circle'' if this is what you're asking. They are related to the sound and it's very obvious.

Understood, just confirming. I always associated the phrase "Worship Black Twilight" with the Crepusculo Negro label/bands.

No problem. Arcane Angels has been a big fan of this sound for years so when he found this band he got all excited. This was one of the first releases he scheduled for the label, but it delayed for many reasons. Mostly because they had to remaster it properly and make a new band logo. There were problems for this one but he said he will make sure the next one will come out the way it should right from the start.

In regards to Yohualli... The demo was originally released as a dubbed tape through the Odio Bronce label. This is a label/group of individuals who have some pretty similar aesthetics to the Black Twilight Circle, as far as being inspired by pre-Hispanic indigenous cultures. Yohualli and Maquahuitl are probably the only projects that actually sound heavily inspired by the BTC bands, though. Interesting to see this release getting a remaster and proper CD treatment. I also heard that Fallen Empire wanted to give it an LP version.

Misinformation. Fallen Empire never contacted me about an LP release.
