I thought that the LP was going to be released by Metal Blade and Metal Blade only. I didn't know that there was a subsidiary such as EMP and luckily a random search for the LP at google led me to their site. There's a pre-order for the limited coloroud LP's (red-300, green-400) while Metal Blade's official site has the black one.

The annoying thing is that for some countries the minimum order value is 25 euros so you have to buy something else along with the LP. I bought 5 jewel cases Razz

Bought a new and sealed copy of the clear/green vinyl (would have preferred black but that's what I was sent) and upon opening noticed a gritty/sand like substance all over the discs and sleeves. Wouldn't mind except that it is quite noisy during playback. Contacted the label (Metal Blade) a couple of weeks ago and no response as yet.

Anybody who has picked up a copy of this had a similar problem?

Yes, got rid of the sleeves and used compressed air to clean the vinyls. Worked fine for me at least.

Mine was similar also, there was a lot of talk about this when the vinyls were released and at that point it was said that it was only the grey/greenhaze vinyls that had this problem, but I don't know.

Cheers for the replies. Was hoping the label would try to make it right, but looks as though this is too much to ask for. Quite frustrating especially for someone who only buys a few LPs a year, and only buys them for listening purposes. I'll pick up a tin of compressed air, thanks.
I'd suggest anyone else picking up this album avoid the clear vinyl.

Still enjoying the album a lot. For me it is an improvement on the last one. Even a few surprises on there. Impressive effort from the old guard.
