My vote goes to Carpathian Wolves. The atmosphere combined with the keys are some of the best BM ever.

The Celtic Winter because that's what I was introduced to Graveland with.

Following the Voice of Blood easily. Pure fucking war all the way through. Capricornus slays on this record, and the riffs are the most memorable of all Graveland. Never a bad Graveland record, and the most recent stuff is picking up even more.

I like all era.
But my top favorite Graveland album is "Will stronger than death".

When I listen it first time, it remind me Bathory "Blood Fire Death".

I vote Post-2000, as Fire Chariot of Destruction is definitly his best act.
But then come Thousand Swords, Impaler's Wolves, Immortal Pride & Will Stronger Than Death which are also great albums.

The only weak part is the pre-Thousand Swords era as far as I'm concerned, as well as the shitty split with Honor.

My vote goes to "Carpathian Wolves". Those keys are just epic, Darken is a real master in creating massive synthetic soundscapes. Also the overall atmosphere and production of the album.

Following the Voice of Blood is a great album (Purely because it was the first one i heard) and probably my favored recording followed by Thousand Swords. Creed of Iron deserves a mention as well!

Celtic Winter might be my favorite atmosphere, but I was introduced to them with Thousand Swords and think it is the most unique sounding of their albums. It remains my favorite overall.

Carpathian Wolves/Thousand Swords followed by The Celtic Winter, I guess.

The keyboards are great during this period, especially in the song "Thousand Swords", where the somber vibe is pretty much entirely thanks to the nice use of keys.

Thousand Swords seems to be the obvious winner, but I expected more votes for Carpathian Wolves.

No one seems to like Impaler's Wolves, can't judge as I don't own this record.

Someone mentioned Necromanteion: That's the only really weak record IMHO. It sounds to me like Darken did not know back then what his path will be.

In The Glare Of Burning Churches is my all time fave, followed by Carpathian Wolves and Thousand Swords.

Thousand Swords for me if I had to pick only ONE release. But I'm a Graveland fanatic so all the releases are essential.

Celtic Winter, then Thousand Swords, then the demos. I really dig all Graveland I've heard though (everything up to and including Creed of Iron).
