I respect everyone's opinion, but I'd really like to hear more about yours. What releases are you talking about? My opinion is that there's no even weak Black Sabbath album, maybe some more average than others but still. _________________ Iron striking metal

I think the s/t "comeback" album was the only weak thing they've done really. Forrest era 'vod is not for everyone, but in the context of the bands career they are pretty cool records.
I agree with what someone wrote in this thread earlier... there really are no bands with "flawless" catalogs. Even the greats like Sabbath etc. all got pretty fucking questionable at times. And the few bands that seem to be no brainers are bands that, while totally great (Bolt Thrower, etc) are bands that have a formula and just slog away at it with little or no growth or development.
That having been said... I'm thankful to many of those bands precisely for NOT changing their style or fucking around over their careers. |

Tyr and Headless Cross for me.... fuck Tony Martin, that weak, watered-down Dio imitating wimp. BS singer aside, I thought those were both pretty limp albums from a band that could and had pulled far more creative and mindblowing stuff out of their collective asses in the past.
Sab must have been so divorced from reality by that point though. Who knows. I think they are one of the precious few bands that could truly belong to this thread. |

| I guess since people are going that far back I would have to say Led Zeppelin. I have their 10 disc box set and like every single album. Really no one else even comes close to these guys in my honest opinion. |

You've got to be kidding me. Ildjarn never released one single decent album so it's the other way around actually. |
