[quote="DSS"With the $ to EUR conversion rate and high shipping costs you are better off ordering directly from the label. [/quote]
Its the same for us in Europe for all the die hard NWN etc.. / crypt releases that come to a lot of the Europe labels they don't bother checking exchange rates if a crypt release is $45 when they get in their distro in europe they sell it for 45euro or sometimes more it actually works out cheaper including shipping ordering a single copy directly from the US yourself fair enough labels have to pay shipping but they are buying wholesale so they must be getting some sort of a discount isn't the whole idea of getting these releases in stock from the US is to make it cheaper for europeans?
The US distros seem to be a lot fairer in setting prices for stuff that comes from Europe than the Euro distros do with US stock. |

I ordered 2 copies and it came out to a pretty reasonable cost... thankfully my shipping was fine..... |

More often than not, these price pressures are due to currency exchanges between the label's native currency vs the purchaser's. For example, i find it relatively cheaper to buy from the States than EU simply due to the exchange rate differences. Shipping is costly no matter from the States or EU.
You are lucky to be able to save on shipping costs, maybe because buying 2 copies make the unit cost lower |

The LP sounds good but the artwork looks like a turd, I hate that 'fake old' look. But hey, what did I expect from the graphic genius that brought us the pixelated artwork of the Nebiros reissue |

Hailz to CWP for the secure shipping. Fucking shit though, this may be the worst sounding LP I've ever owned, seriously. I've cleaned the LP and stylus multiple times to no avail. Intense distortion and the right channel cuts in and out very faintly, especially noticeable in the first track. I'm hoping that the grooves just need to be played through a few times... but ack. I guess it must be my copy though. |

after waiting almost a month (ordered in January) I received my jackets badly corner bend because of shit packing.
Waited another 10 weeks (!) for replacement jackets which arrived
corner bend a second time because of even more shit packing without
any kind of protection.
BV missed adding a 7" which had been ordered in first place that he
refund after 4 months!
I'm definitely not a person who starts bitching around waiting some extra time or who has a problem with a small corner bend. But if I spend good money for a quiet high priced LP I expect a better service.
Black Vomit Records is a shame to every serious underground Label who take care that cusomers who spend their money get mint records.
If one has no time or intention to provide a good service he simply should stop working as a Label.
I know from previous trades that BV was never doing a good packing job and sleeves always arrived with smaller or bigger bends but this time he topped himself afterall. |
