This Tom Warrior is one of the biggest pussies/posers in the history of metal. He used to always be embarrassed of Hellhammer, until they became trendy to like and he saw he could make money off it. |

Korn? You're WAY off the mark. BTW, I've been a CF fan since 1985, and I don't like everything with the CF name stamped on it. I'm proud to say that I never wasted my money on that travesty called "Cold Lake". |

Monotheist is a great and personal album to me - unlike the vast majority of re-union albums of oldies who try to cash in on their legacy by producing derivative rehash albums...
Having said that, I can understand why people think this album sucks... I donīt care at all, though.

Most probably true, but I enjoyed the live concert I saw in 2007 (together with Kreator) like no other concert in the past 2-3 years. Plus I went through my youth with this band, which is a bit fanboy alarm... |

I was very biased when I heard CF was returning with yet another album. I had listened to those Apollyon Sun abominations and had very, very low expectations on this one album. Also, the demo version of "Ground" the band posted on their homepage sucked so bad I wanted to beat the crap out of Tom.
Then I heard the album, and even though I admit that the first 2 songs are in my opinion the weakest of the album, I liked it a lot for what it is. I still do, it's maybe the one record I have listened to the most in the past 6 weeks.
I'm fairly sure that I like the record because Martin rearranged it. I guess that if Tom was left on his own, he would have come up with utter shit.
Now that they're no more, I feel bad because I'm sure Martin would have pushed the band even further, too bad it won't happen.
