My vote goes to Cenotaph for no reason at all as the 3 bands rule, it was just a matter of alphabetic order...weird ah?
For anyone interested I have 7 brand new copies of the The Chasm debut album in TAPE format (which includes 1 song not on the CD)...full color cover, lyrics and all that stuff that makes an original (Chrome tape mind you) cassette to be a great thing to have.
Cenotaph last album "Saga Belica" is worth to track down, here they sound more deathrash, not far away in style to Arghoslent...although their best is the second album "Riding our black oceans" that still gots some brutal death of old mixed with a more technical edge, like "north form here" Sentenced mixed with Immolation...
The Chasm best effort is "The spell of retribution" they just reach their peak here, although for sheer brutality "Deathcult" is also great.
Shub Nigguerath "Evilness and darkness prevail" is a masterpiece, although the demo "Horror creatures" (which I have 3 copies around) is also great no matter the production is not that great (although not that bad either, just weird guitar sound). Meybe their e.p. "Unknown adorer" is their bets work. _________________ Unbound celestial assassins... |

Nice to meet you here.
Cenotaph's debut is outstanding. And so is The Chasm's work on Procession To The Infraworld. Hard to decide. As the later work of The Chasm still impresses me, my vote goes to The Chasm though. |
Hey Peter. The Chasm probably has an overall stronger discography, but I'm a sucker for the single release that rises above everything else. Daniel is definitely a guitar ace. |

Shub Niggurath as well.
Early Cenotaph are cool but I don´t like the melodic stuff.
The Chasm are definitely great as well but one must pay homage to THE ANCIENT ONES! IA! _________________ Oh, what fun we have when we exist.

| Shub Niggurath for me, totally fucking evil stuff! Cenotaph were cool too, but I prefer the 7 inches to the album. |

Evilness and Darkness had a terrible drum production - the cymbols seemed to be going backwards. Shub Niggurath were still the best, just with the song Hybrid Race.
Are there many of the old Mexican bands who've moved across the border into the US? There seem quite a few in LA alone... |

Try checking out COFFIN TEXTS - 'gods of creation, death & afterlife'. A Death Metal masterpiece. |

The double bassdrums on Shub Niggurath sounds like ants with machineguns. Frustrating, cause the material is killer. _________________ http://www.UnbornProductions.com

Yeah, already familiar with them, hopefully their next album will be just as good.... when it's finished! Make's some Peruvian's look speedy!

At least the Kinglike Celebration's was much better, even if there wasn't much new material. Really strange unique atmosphere on that one (something many Mexican bands have, some kind of astral worship about them.)
Though is it just me, or is the artwork on all the Chasm albums dreadfull! Toooo many purple swirling, photoshopped lens flares! |

Well, they hang out Sadistic Intent, what do you expect! Haha. Sadly, I heard a couple of songs from the new album and they're nowhere close to the older material............. |
