Great band! The mid 80s material is my favorite stuff by them but the early albums are great too, I should listen to more of the recent output. _________________ Planet Earth is great to visit but you wouldn't want to live there |

Early albums, Night Time, Democracy and s/t (2003) would be my picks. _________________ ok but who are you damn i have lot of orders

At their best quite possibly the best band in the world, should you keep Motörhead above all charting. Recent works (Hosannas..., Absolute Dissent) are every bit as relevant as early stuff. _________________ http://qvadrivivm.blogspot.com |

Well, you are you.
Personally, I don't appreciate Democracy that highly but that might be something to do with the fact that Pandemonium put a bad name on the band for a dozen years. _________________ http://qvadrivivm.blogspot.com |

I read a recent interview with Amebix and they get really pissed that the interviewer compares them to Killing Joke all the time.
Killing Joke is great, the whole discography. _________________ Geißel des Fleisches - Bis aufs Blut gequält |

Yeah I see some connections too, I also listen to both bands in the same dystopian mood. _________________ Geißel des Fleisches - Bis aufs Blut gequält |

Probably nobody will be surprised to hear me say I have the whole discography and love them dearly. My favourites are the first S/T, What's THIS for? and Fire Dances. unfortunately never seen them live though.
The amount of bands that they influenced is absolutely phenomenal, and they have ALWAYS stuck to their guns as far as the underlying themes of the music, even on their more poppy albums. _________________ "14 words: we must secure the depravation of the children and ruin the whole fucking world..." |

One of my favourite bands ever. Their comeback streak has been phenomenal too, Absolute Dissent is a total masterwork. _________________ ANUNG UN RAMA, SANCTI AB JURA

| I find the sound of the vinyl version of "Absolute Dissent" really weird, very muddled and unbalanced. Any dissenting opinions from Killing Joke -listeners on this forum? Other than that, I have the whole discography and enjoy the 80's stuff the most. Their keyboard sound is great, very distinctive to the eighties. |
