This is great! Total Sarcofago worship. I'm surprised this band is not talked about more on here. Thanks for the heads up.

Old punk bands did influence Sarcofago (and Sepultura too) a lot so it's no suprise.

Obviously intentional, on Satanas, Wagner pronounces it as "Seita-Nás", Seita is literal portuguese for Cult, so we get "Satanicult" with just one word.

What? The sound of the letter "a" in English is "ei".

Perhaps coincidental rather than intentional.

So, back on topic...

Sadly, my Greyhaze/Cogumelo CD version does not include the infamour I.N.R.I. thank list with the "shout-out" to Sepultura. does any of you guys can help me out here about what did the note exactly said?

Trivia/Rumor

According to an interview with both Gerald and Wagner, the mention was because of that incident in which D.D. Crazy broke a beer bottle on Andreas Kisser's head. There is also the other episode in 1987 during a Ratos de Porao show in Belo Horizonte, which ended up in a fight. This could have also happened at the same time, since Joao Gordo not only used to travel to Belo Horizonte at least once a month, but he was also about to record RDP's second album at J.G. Estudio in Belo Horizonte, which was later released by Cogumelo.

I ready somewhere that it was Max that broke a bottle in Wagners head, but it could be the other way around of course.....

Whatever the truth is, you gotta love that old Brazilian scene for being ruthless as fuck!

Yes, indeed!!! It seems that the fight was so rude that it is very likely that both events had happened during the same fight (the Wagner vs Max and Dd Crazy vs Andreas) plus Joao Gordo having his face and mouth punched by Wagner. Now, that is when the dumbfucks recording videos on their cellphones during a show are really helpful!!!

Is it also true that Sarcofago switched to a drum computer so they could sound more extreme?

There's a interview on youtube in which Wagners says that, but I could be wrong since my Portugese is not that good....

Anyone an idea?

"Hate", "The Worst" and "Crust" are recorded with a drum machine.
