Embrace The Death, for its great leads, obscure atmosphere and completely occult wibe, the band lost two great members after that was recorded. Or canned two good members, maybe is the right way to put it.

Voting for "God Cries"...everybody seems to hate it but I think it came out at a time 99% of the death metal bands lost the raw and brutal feeling!

Though everything up to ''On the Wings of Inferno '' slays. One of the best Death Metal bands to exist.

One of the few bands around with a truly flawless discography. Even the much despised God Cries is a solid release, which of course tends to get overshadowed by the supreme magnificence of the other records. Still releasing crushing music despite being in their early 40ies, Deathhammer is a fucking riff/double bass drum fest
Last one is their peak, all the other albums are joint winners for silver medal with GC scoring bronze.

Pestilence sucks? Maybe the "new" Pestilence does but the first 3 albums are great. "Testimony Of The Ancients" is one of the most original albums from the early 1990's when it comes to Death Metal.

Meh.Testimonies is okay, but it's all about Consuming Impulse (one of the best Death Metal albums ever!) and Malleus Maleficarum. The riffs and vocals are better than just about anything that was released during it's time.

The Rack has become the ultimate love/hate album for me. Some times i'm spinning it thinking "this is absolute crap!" and other times its "this is a total masterpiece!". Of course, tracks like Vermin never cease to be in my good books.

| It is difficult for me to choose between Embrace The Death, The Rack, and Last One On Earth. All three exemplify what death metal should be, crushing, ugly and miserable music! Ultimately, I must choose Last One for its supremely doomed and damned atmosphere. |
