Pestilence sucks? Maybe the "new" Pestilence does but the first 3 albums are great. "Testimony Of The Ancients" is one of the most original albums from the early 1990's when it comes to Death Metal.

Don't even try to talk that blutfag dipshit into understanding death metal, the fact that he knows Asphyx through youtube says everything really. First 4 Pestilence are milestones of the genre, MM and Consuming Impulse are as strong as Asphyx in their finest moments with TotA and Spheres coming close second and being among the most revolutionary albums of all times. Sheer genius.

My vote goes for Last One on Earth, with The Rack and On the Wings of Inferno close behind. Deathhammer and Death the Brutal Way are also really good Asphyx albums.

indeed my fave asphyx's albums are Last one on Earth and Asphyx, for different reasons...
-Asphyx musical-wise is the top of their career, i.m.o.: any single track is a masterpiece, valleys... inititation... back into eternity...holy shit... best doom/death album ever. but there's no martin on vocals.
-Last one is pefect, awesome, aggressive and Martin is on the microphone...again, any single track is a masterpiece, Serenade in Lead being my personal highlight
quite hard to pick up just one... EDIT: but my vote went to ASPHYX, "the black perfection"

there's another old video of out of the body on youtube (i'm not finding it right now) where van drunen stops playing and starts punching the bass for a few beats... they are playing as 3 pieces here, and Mameli turns back to see why the bass is not sounding. fantastic.
